Wouldn't LSU want LA Tech to win? ODU has a better shot than Tech at an at-large?

yes they probably do but both are pretty unlikely. not to mention the added bonus of boosting lsu's rpi.

LSU wants ODU to win.

To each his own. Dont really care about tech so ill pull for what helps LSU, and that is ODU.

The only true buster potential left is Stephen F Austin. If they lose their tourny, it becomes a 2 bid league. I think their RPI is in the low 40s

Yes. I go under the general assumption that the major conferences will get whatever numbers they will get anyway mostly. You may see a 1 bid swing from league to league, but that # of teams is set. It is these low majors that get 2 teams in when they should have had 1 that knock out a major conf team.

Ole Miss knocking LSU out or vice versa is not what I'd call a "bracket buster"

ETA: Someone like Tenn running the table in their tourny is a bracket buster I guess, but usually that just hurts your own league.

Without reading or understanding all the witchcraft that goes into selecting a team for the dance, I just have a feeling that LSU is in regardless. Yea they have some bad conf. losses, but they have turned up big on some big stages. IMO they see LSU as upset potential, and I think they like those type of teams.

Having said they need to TCB in the SEC tourney. They are playing solid basketball right now and I can't see them getting caught looking past anyone like they did with Tennessee. Chances are they will get a chance to avenge those two losses to TA&M on Friday.

It just depends. VCU, Dayton, and Davidson are probably safely in the tournament. If Duquesne wins the conference tournament that league is getting 4 teams, not 3.

The conference tournaments have gone LSU's way up to this point which is nice. 7 bids given out and none have taken an at-large teams spot (not that some ever had a chance..1 bid league regardless).

It's a root for thread. Read the title.

Already stated in the OP. Read the post before you complain about it.

And yet you will be the first one to melt down if we lose our 1st game.

I'm not surprised you hate these kind of threads. It takes a little brainpower to understand the different scenarios.

WEST COAST: Gonzaga. BYU is likely in but might vault ahead of us with a win.
