Now, you can go start working on that LSU HC position I assume you feel that you are qualified for.

I'm pretty sure I would do better on Monday night than you comprehend after reading.

ETA: Nice link there.

At any point in the game, would you have given Lee a series?
thats a pretty tough decision. At the 12:07 mark, its still 15-0, which is a two possession game and we were driving into Bama terriotory. But yes, i would have. At what point, i don't know.

So there are people here that feel Miles did everything he could Monday night to win that game?

That there could not have been any better gameplan than the one we saw Monday night?

What an abundundantly stupid post. You don't have to possess a particular skill in order to assess the degree of that skill in another. Those are two entirely separate spheres.

To take the simplest examples, I don't have to be an Academy Award winning director or screenwriter to recognize a terrible movie, I don't have to be a painter to recognize that Van Gogh was a brilliant one, and I don't have to be a college football head coach to recognize that the gameplan on Monday was a piece of shite.

I would have done things differently. Not saying I'd win, but I honestly believe I could have put something onthe board...

I'm not paid $4 mil a year to coach. I sure as hell knew LSU would need something other than the option, and that JJ wasn't likely to be
able to pass for crap.
Told you so?

If you are only limiting the question to "Monday Night", I believe many people here could have done better. Mostly b/c they would have the sense to do what was obvious to the rest of the world. However, I don't think there is anyone here that could come close to running a program or preparing a team better then Miles. He is a great coach imo, but Monday was horrendous.

So not only are you a smug sob you are a kiss arse.

To simplify it so you can understand it, what the posters are saying here is not that any of us are capable of putting together a great coaching season like Miles had. But on Monday night it was OBVIOUS that any change was good, because what we did over and over was not working. Miles had a HUGE fail in not seeing this, and that is worrisome as hell for next season.

You can keep snickering about how none of us are coaches and posting your snide comments, but the opinions in this thread are running about 90/10 against you, with good reason.

I would have put Jarrett Lee in. If he failed, I would have put Zach Mettenberger in.

It amazes me how the myth that it's difficult to coach any sport and that fans don't know anything perpetuates decade after decade. Take a look at the coaches in both college and pro football. Very few are "rocket scientists.". Some have professional degrees, but this rarely guarantees success( terry bowden , d Dooley and the pirate all have j d's, but yet each experiences different levels of success.). It's fricken football. The coaches that consistantly win pay attention to detail, manage great staffs and motivate their teams to play for them on a weekly basis. Monday we were outdetailed and unmotivated. It happens, but for anyone(coach included) , that some lowly fan could not have better prepared or motivated this team is ridiculous.
