My point is that i'm just seeing who has the balls to admit they could do better. I hate to say it, but the only thing i have ever coached is pee wee football, but i can honestly say that i may not have coached better, but i would have damn sure tried something different to at least tried to win.

It should have started the day after the SECCG with preparation for this game. It should have started then also that everyone was one the same page and we didn't have an arrogant selfish pompous arse of a head coach to mess things up.

i can't perform surgery of any sort, but that doesn't mean i can't criticize a surgeon for amputating someone's leg when he needed a hernia repair.

Absofrickinglutely. All I would have had to do is say "Jefferson out, Lee in" and walk off the field and I would have been 100% better than Miles. It is really that clear and that simple.

I'm a Miles fan, but that was the most embarrassing display of coaching at the college level I have ever seen! The best word to describe that dumpster fire on Mon night is INCOMPETENCE!!

There are some real fools in this thread

The two QB's who played most of this season were flawed. We all got sucked into thinking they weren't. But in the end they were who we thought they were

Would I like to have seen something different? Of course....but deep down we all know the deal...two flawed QB's covered up by a great running game, great defense and special teams

finally caught up with LSU

For those who think Mett should have been thrown in there....Didn't you learn from the last 4 years? I for one prefer Mett get a fresh beginning, not something possibly hanging over his head from a BCSCG matchup with bama if he's not ready

It was certainly a rough night for Jefferson, but unlike most I'd say the playcalling was worse than JJ's performance.

Well, admittedly, I think that if I was tasked with amputating a guy's leg, I could do better than the guy who did the hernia operation or who amputated his arm instead!!

This is the internet where everyomne has the baklls tio say all kinds of garbage. Now, if you really put 99% of the posters in here in Miles' position on 1/9/12, they would have no idea what to do other than piss on themselves.

u dumb...

obvious that Bama D prepared for the option...widen out the tackles, have the MLB stay home to protect the dive and the OLBs play the pitch man...

that leaves the area between the D line and the OLBs open for the slant pass...quick 3 step drops...

you bring in a better passer (with a quicker release) and dont hit the downfield routes bc you worry about the blitz..

hit 3 step slants which brings the OLB over toward the middle and the CBs to play press..

that opens to toss pitch and the slant and go routes...

or if you are really worried about pressure, roll the pocket or run boot/waggle to DeAngelo Peterson

next question....

Usually I would agree at laughing at anyone who said yes to this, but screw that. I absolutely know I could have done a better job. We may have eventually lost by more points, but atleast we would have made an effort to win.

I don't mind losing, it's the sitting on our chicken little asses that embarrassed me.

Oh certainly. I'm not on this Lee over JJ thing. The embarassing thing to me was the playcalling which played out in JJ's HORRIBLE performance......like an actor acting out a horrible script.

That was the worst offensive gameplan in the history of big game college football......EVER!

And if Kevin Steele got canned at Clemson after his defense's performance in the Orange Bowl, a discussion of the same thing should at least be considered for whomever was responsible for calling the plays for Monday night's train wreck.

I would agree. I think JJs limitations limit the playbook by the same token.

They all think they could have, but none of them could. That's why they sell cars, or work at a bank, or run a restaurant while Miles gets paid to coach. Miles probably couldn't run a bank, and your local bank manager is probably a shitty coach.
