Very possible. Cameron is a much better OC than Crowton.

Do you know what "non sequitur" means?

In the first part of your post, you proclaim that an offensive coordinator would have saved Lee. In the second part of your post, you blame the head coach for Lee's failure.

That's an excellent example of a "non sequitur." Perhaps Crowton failed Lee, and Miles fired Crowton because Crowton failed both Jefferson and Lee.

One other thing, perhaps Miles didn't pull Lee because of the interceptions. Let’s take a look at Lee’s QB Rating in his last four games of the 2008 regular season:
88.08
69.13
116.01
50.97

Let's look at Lee's completion percentage for the last four games of the 2008 regular season:
40.00%
38.24%
58.82%
33.33%

Do you suppose that Miles didn’t play Lee in 2009 because in his last four games in 2008, Lee had only one game with a completion percentage over 40% and a QB Rating in triple digits?

It doesn't matter anymore!

That team could have been the GOAT with a decent QB

LSU averaged 372.125 yards a game with Lee as the starter
LSU averaged 351 yards a game with Jefferson as the start

if you include the Alabama game in which both played, LSU still averaged more yards a game with Lee....

They sure were fun to watch. Would've been considered one of the greatest college teams ever if not for the debacle at the end.

Really cool when you look at the schedule and teams they beat before the championship. I didn't go to work the next day because I was hung over so bad

That's misleading of you to include the championship games against Top 5 defenses that Lee didn't have to face.

Let's look at the stats that don't count Top 5 defenses; I won't even count the GOTC against Lee.

In Lee's first eight starts of the regular season (not counting GOTC) LSU gained 2,977 yards. That's 372.125 yards per game.

In Jefferson's three starts of the regular season, LSU gained 1,426 yards. That's 475.333 yards per game.

LSU gained 372.125 yards per game in the eight regular season games that Lee started (not counting the GOTC).

LSU gained 475.333 yards per game in the three regular season games that Jefferson started.

Here's the main thing you're not considering.

It's not merely the fact that LSU gained over 100+ more yards per regular season game when Jefferson started. That's impressive, but it's not my main point.

It's the fact that in EVERY regular season game that Jefferson started, LSU gained more yards than in EVERY game that Lee started, including when Lee started against some crappy defenses:

Kentucky [#58 Defense in 2011]
Oregon [#67 Defense in 2011]
Auburn [#81 Defense in 2011]
Northwestern State [FCS team]

When will people move on from the JJ/JL fiasco?

Neither were great QBs.

I'm still surprised I wasn't banned for some of things I posted on 1/9, but can now say I WOULD piss on JJ if he was on fire. But that's just me being an adult and moving on.

A lot of posters on here have compared him to the next Dan Marino. Had a lot of the same qualities especially with the quick release and accuracy. If Cam would have been here we might be arguing right now about who was the greatest QB in LSU history: JJ or JL?

What skill set did JJ possess that would lead any person to believe that?
He never impressed me with anything he ever did on the field.

Those polls still exist. The links are in this thread: LINK

JJ still has a 20,000 vote lead in the original poll.

That was a wack arse interview. He should have asked some tougher questions like how did you feel after the BCSCG. He gave all of those PC answers
