Looks to me that Texas has the edge by having one more CWS appearance than LSU does.

I would give it to Texas in a tie breaker given that they were runner up twice.

Yes LSU does have the two championships, but in the other 3 CWS appearances they were 1-6.

ummm, not really. this decade goes from 2000-2009. that's like saying the 90's go from 1991-2000. doesn't make much sense now does it.

No, he was right. Years start with 1, not 0 so the nineties technically go from 1991 to 2000, making LSU unquestionably the team of that decade. This decade from 2001 to 2010 belongs to Texas, imo.

not really, if you start at 1 AD then the first decade was from 1 AD to 10 AD. Notice that there is no year zero. That means that every subsequent decade begins with a year that ends with 1 and ends with a year that ends with 0.

so then 1990 isn't part of the 90's. man glad you cleared that up for me that has to be the dumbest thing i've ever heard. the year 2000 is not part of the 90's as much as you'd like it to be. the only reason why you say it is is because lsu won 5 titles in 10 years and you think it sounds better for some reason to say they won 5 in one decade.

It doesn't matter if you include 2000 or not. Texas won NCs twice and finished 2nd twice, while we went, what, 8 years without winning a single game in Omaha? Damn you Smoke!

So, was the first year AD 0 or 1 - the first decade was year 1 - year 10...so 2001 - 2010???

when you look at a stopwatch ready to start counting, does it say "1.00?"

If thats true then I actually run a 40 in 4.4 seconds.

Decade starts in 01. Our first CWS win this decade was only last year. Texas gets the nod.
