I think LSU could've gotten someone more proven for sure. But what's going on right now would be going on regardless of who HC is. LSU is inexperienced and beat up. You aren't going to be very successful with that going against you.

before last night maybe ... after last night this is no longer true...

nvm mind it wasn't true even before last night. Anyone might have lost to state but not to get totally blown out ( by a state team that is terrible). for thing to have gone so far south so fast there's some serious issues behind the scenes ... if a blow out to state and then a close call to 'cuse didn't wake you up it's probably not going to happen and once the locker room is lost things can get ugly.

Because I'm not mentally handicapped enough to believe that two of the best coordinators in the country suddenly forgot how to coach and are now both trying to ruin their elite coaching track records and trying to destroy their own careers.

Moreover, our problems don't stem from coaching. Our problems stem from recruiting. For instance, at the end of last season the defense lost five players to the NFL that were replaced this season. However, none of those replacement player are anywhere remotely as good as the player they replaced. That's not a coaching problem. That's a recruiting problem and you can't blame a recruiting problem on a head coach that hasn't even been the head coach for a year yet, unless you are a retard and blame him anyway because you just don't like him.

are you honestly expecting us to believe that we don't have players better than Troy does?
or that we're suddenly on the same talent level as Syracuse?
or that we are way behind State on Talent?

because none of that is true.

do we have the talent that LSU typically has had? no we're behind on that.

do we have more talent than anyone we have played so far this year? yes and it ain't really close.

Maybe But if you have a proven HC running things confidence would be hire. Ed O came to LSU as a proven loser.

Unplug your A$$ and open your eyes. We are a very non competitive team currently. Troy just rolled us. We have looked terrible all year and your saying recruiting. Yep your correct, LSU is the only team that can't handle losing players to the NFL.
So if the OC and D.C. have proven records then who does not.

Recruiting, young team, inexperienced, fans suck. Sorry but it's none of these.

The reason this team looks like shite is because the head coach, the defensive coordinator, and the offensive coordinator decided they didn't want to do the hard part of making the players grind to get them mentally and physically tough in the days of Spring and Summer. That's the biggest problem with this team. They aren't mentally and physically tough. Basically they don't want it enough. That is 100% on the millionaire coaches.

We can't even evaluate the fine skills of the coaches because they failed the basic job of the coach and that's getting the team beat into shape. No O wasn't the right hire. I had wished he was and was hoping his rah rah was in addition to him creating a hard team. But it was all just talk. No use for Canada either, his playcalling and offense is worthless. Aranda I won't give a pass to, but I hold a little less since I know what he can do if the basic coaching is done first.

So is UF but they are still finding ways to win with 11 suspensions.

Your statement is a copout and excuse for what is out on the field.

Jesus, give O at least one full year and his own recruiting class

His own recruiting class isn’t a valid excuse considering O was the recruiting coordinator under Les Miles. O has a much to do with who is on our current roster as anyone

And therein lies the problem. There's a possibility we couldn't. I have a hard time believing that, but it's possible.

However, IF that was true Alleva would've been smart to make the search very broad and very public to at least CYA. He did not. So the assumption, and it is an assumption, that the search was limited and maybe even a coup to begin with. I have no problem with people making that assumption because of the way Alleva conducted it.

Thank you! Fix this, alot of other stuff fixes itself. And while it is ultimately on CEO, the whole Staff should share in the blame- publicly. It should hurt Aranda's salary at the next stop (if it doesn't get corrected). It should limit Grimes' options when he gets fired. Etc, etc.

Disagree. We have some recruiting issues, mainly what I call "roster management", that are exacerbating what are mainly coaching issues. Many coaching issues, many coaches.

Should have hired somebody young like PJ Fleck as Head Coach in waiting under Miles after the AtM game and let Miles fade off over the next 2 seasons with less control while focused on recruiting and fundraising.
This is really messed up and the program has been unstable for almost 2 full years.
Alleva needs to be Fired NOW.
Then tell FuKing to start packing his office too.

I don't think anybody thought he was the RIGHT hire. But a lot of folks were "ok" with it. People were caught up in the media driven emotion surrounding the idea of giving him a chance and that maybe he earned it or wants it so much.

They're all on the thread "bigger problems than coaching..."

And the comments are just stupid.
