May I ask, are we sure LSU is behind on NIL? I mean, they seemed to get all they needed from NSD.

Probably Stephanie Rempe. She did a good job marketing. Terrible plan implementation though. Our plan was basically stay out of it and let local businesses do the work. We are finding out now, that you have to play a little dirty.

Pretty sure they hired the agency that represents Texas and some of the other big schools

No longer needed.

And I’d say a combo of the 3 others.

I actually think CBK was hired for his ability to gauge talent that hasn’t risen the star rankings of others in order to get them in cheaper. Time will tell though. I think we’re heading into a period where good coaches will be in very short supply.

TAF should be manning it with input from the football department.

It can’t be anyone inside the program. Why is this so hard for people to understand? They need to have someone adjacent to the program working with the boosters and the players.

I may be wrong in this but I don’t believe money already donated to TAF can be used for NIL. The people donating that money would have to donate less and work with the players for some sort of NIL deal.

Boosters need to organize, create a LLC, put money into it, hire a manger, and have the guy get in front of players & recruits or their families to explain how they’re going to pay them legally to make social media posts periodically or do public advertising’s to promote their business’.

It's the same person that was responsible to promote Damone Clark for the Dick Butkus Award. Oh wait

Possibly. But I just think we spent so much money from boosters on this coaching search, we forgot that NIL was even a thing.

I never thought Woodward’s athletic department would be so utterly unprepared and incompetent when it comes to something so important for the football program

You will be downvoted heavily for observing that Woodward was AWOL on the NIL war when it started.
But you are correct.
And, NIL is not limited to football.
The school AD will have to organize, teach and coordinate boosters for all sports as to why this is essential to be competitive.
The schools that did that, succeeded (so far).

It's crystal clear that there is zero enforcement on any rules and regulations. For that reason, Woodward >> TAF >> Kelly.

All have vested interests in getting it done. This should have been Woodward's wheelhouse. I wonder if he had to make a decision this year due to the money being spent on getting rid of Orgeron.

It appears that the head football coach saga this year was conducted by Woodward in a way that made sense for the pre-NIL era instead of the current landscape. We will see.
