The text below was stolen from Astro's thread and edited for conversational purposes.

Who do we expect to see start tonight? I believe that we will primarily see the pitchers in bold below.

Projected Pitching Rotation:
So. RHP Jake Lemoine (6-6, 2.35 ERA, 95.2 IP, 81 H, 25 ER, 23 BB, 82 K, .233 OBA, 1.09 WHIP)
Jr. RHP Aaron Garza (8-4, 2.65 ERA, 98.1 IP, 86 H, 29 ER, 10 BB, 56 K, .236 OBA, 0.98 WHIP)
Jr. RHP David Longville (1-0, 2.98 ERA, 54.1 IP, 63 H, 18 ER, 7 BB, 34 K, .297 OBA, 1.29 WHIP)
So. LHP Jared West (2-2, 2.64 ERA, 47.2 IP, 36 H, 14 ER, 18 BB, 39 K, .207 OBA, 1.13 WHIP)

Top Bullpen Arms:
Sr. RHP Chase Wellbrock (20 app, 4-0, 12 saves, 1.15 ERA, 39.0 IP, 33 H, 5 ER, 5 BB, 33 K, .241 OBA, 0.97 WHIP)
Sr. LHP Tyler Ford (24 app, 8-0, 4 saves, 1.26 ERA, 64.1 IP, 41 H, 9 ER, 5 BB, 43 K, .182 OBA, 0.72 WHIP)
Fr. RHP Andrew Lantrip (12 app, 6-0, 1.40 ERA, 38.2 IP, 24 H, 6 ER, 5 BB, 32 K, .174 OBA, 0.75 WHIP)
Jr. RHP Jared Robinson (20 app, 4-1, 1.72 ERA, 31.1 IP, 23 H, 6 ER, 12 BB, 26 K, .204 OBA, 1.12 WHIP)

The names in italics above pitched 5 or more innings this weekend and are less likely to pitch for more than one inning tonight.

The names in bold above each pitched 2.0 innings this weekend either in one 2.0 inning outing or in two 1.0 inning outings and should be fully available tonight.

The purpose of this thread is to discuss who Houston will start, and to inform everyone of who is available on their staff.

Their closer could probably throw 9 more shutout innings. He owned us

The box score said West pitched 1.0 on Saturday and 2.0 on the weekend.

Ford Threw 19 pitches yesterday, not much but that may prevent him from having a long outing.

Something tells me Houston will throw everything they have to. Their coach seems like a POS.

God he looked like a whiny bitch in the dugout last night while the Tyler Moore inside the park discussion was going on.

With the way that their players were showing up the ump, including the one who was ejected it makes you think it's a reflection of the head coach. The guy who got ejected might be out tonight also if what the announcers in the Miami game mentioned is correct.

Guilbeau seems to think we are going to face their ace....

quote:

HOUSTON PITCHING DEPTH: Should Houston advance to a 7 p.m. Monday game against LSU, a likely starter for the Cougars would be their No. 1 starter for the weekend.

That was freshman right-hander Andrew Lantrip (6-0, 1.55 ERA). Lantrip started Friday against Bryant, but he gave up five hits and one run in two innings and left after throwing only 41 pitches.

He was their first starting pitcher this weekend. That doesn't mean he is their ace. Just the first pitcher they started this weekend.

Houston's ace is not Andrew Lantrip.

Gotcha

I saw his ERA and figured ace. He looks like no slouch.

Definitely not a slouch. Houston has a damn good pitching staff as a whole. We're going to need to bring it tonight.
