McMillan is a True Freshman.

That's pretty much it for scholarship QBs.

Bergeron is an emergency Andrew Hatch option who wouldnt be much worse than Jennings was last year.

Caleb Lewis
Jake Clise
Brandon Bergeron

(At least what lsusports.net says)

They wouldn't be worse than Jennings

I heard LSU discovered the interweb, and created a website. Evidently, someone figured out that you could post a roster of each of the teams. And then another guy figured out you could list their position. It may just be a rumor.

Say what you want about Jennings, but one thing he brings to the table is his running ability. I highly doubt Bergeron would bring that level of mobility to the table.

Guys, Jennings may not be the next Michael Vick but this shite is starting to get really old.

When is the last time that you recall a walk-on outplaying a scholarship quarterback?

Jennings had 2.7 yards per carry overall. Andrew Hatch had ever so slightly better numbers overall when he played than Jennings did last year. So try and understand a guy like Bergeron could at least come pretty close to replicating what Jennings did. He was just that bad last year.

2008, Hatch actually had a higher QB Rating than Lee or Jefferson. He also had a higher QB rating than Jennings did last year.

Good point, but you should also consider the level of competition that Hatch faced in comparison to Jennings.

Also, the offensive staff didn't really make a point to utilize Jennings' legs until the Texas A&M game. He showed that he has the potential to bring some dynamic ability to the offense if we get him out in space.

You are cherry-picking stats, my good Sir.

Hatch only started the first three games of the 2008 season (Appalachian State, North Texas, and Auburn). None of those teams were exactly championship caliber. For crying out loud, that Auburn team finished a paltry 5-7 (2-6 in the SEC) that year.

In that Auburn game Hatch was only 2-6 for 16 yards and was sacked twice before being injured.

He never attempted more than three passes in a game for the rest of the season and nearly 78% of his total yardage from the season came from those first three games.

Hell, 64% of his overall yardage came from the Appalachian State and North Texas games alone.

Plus, Hatch was a former scholarship quarterback at Harvard. While the Crimson may not be on par with the SEC, they are still a Division I program.

Matt Mcgloin walked on (at PSU) and beat out former 5 star LSU QB (benchwarmer) Robert Bolden.

Great example, but I think we can all admit that this was a very rare exception.

After Al Manbearpig Gore invented it, of course.
