None not on this short notice.

There would be multiple homicides in Tuscaloosa for tickets to that game.
Think Black Friday Walmart but worse.

Need to see how many real fans each school has. I know LSU has maybe around 10,000.

Indeed. There is literally nothing else to do there.

D. There are somewhere near 50,000 students at A&M. And Houston is only an hour away, where many graduates live.

Pure speculation. Closest to a sellout would likely be Vanderbilt because their stadium only seats 40-something thousand to begin with and none of the big stadiums would be within 40,000 of selling out.
Posted on 10/9/15 at 5:04 pm to Purplesx
Carolina fans used to fill the stadium to watch them get their shite pushed in on a weekly basis. There are few fanbases as loyal. Tennessee fans are so apathetic at this point that they probably wouldn't fill the stadium. Alabama and A&M would fill the stadium, Georgia would likely fill the stadium.

Alluded to this fact last night without naming SEC schools but I believe Bama would be close to a sell out as well as Texas A&M. JMO

Bama has gotten more than 90,000 to show up for a practice bruh

Not the same as this. The practice wasn't announced on Wednesday before it took place on Saturday. They didn't charge $75 a ticket for the practice. The practice didn't take place on the only weekend of the month when fans were specifically told there would be no practice so they could schedule any other activities then without missing it.

That # is too high.

And what activities do you believe are more important than Alabama football to Alabama fans this time of year?

True, but there was also nothing at stake for the practice. I have no doubts that Bryant Denny would be near capacity. The majority of Alabama fans live in the state, so it's not like they'd need to schedule a flight or hotel at the last minute. You underestimate our gumption

A family member's wedding? Their OWN wedding? An activity for their children? A visit to a sick relative living far away? A medical procedure that requires a few days of inactivity? If there truly is nothing more important than football for Gumps, then y'all are the biggest losers who ever existed.
It's the only weekend in October when LSU wasn't scheduled to have a home game. Anyone who wanted to schedule something in October so that it didn't interfere with a home game had this weekend only. For months they knew this. Don't you think a lot of people scheduled whatever they needed to do other than football for the ONLY weekend they could without missing a game?

That's because you have no clue what it takes to fill a 100,000 seat stadium for a football game. Bryant Denny doesn't fill up every week because 100,000 people decided on Wednesday to buy a ticket and go to the game. It involves a lot of planning and a complex interaction of incentives and preparation to create that spectacle. 90% of people who buy tickets to a normal game had their ability and incentive to buy them almost completely undercut. And we had two days (so far). You can pontificate all you want, but you are full of shite. Bryant Denny would have no more people in it for this game than Death Valley will, no matter what your delusions tell you.

We don't get married in the fall

Good exception. Not a large group here though.

You are beyond delusional if you believe this. That's not a slight, that's just the way it is. "At some places they play football, at Alabama we live it"
That plays on the Jumbotron before each game. You can hate all you want, I would in your shoes. There is plenty to laugh about at that from an outsiders perspective. It's true though, and it has a lot to do with why Alabama football is Alabama football. We aren't ashamed of it, nothing will change that.
