I really hope they continue to play with a sense of urgency from here on out. Everyone of these games are important. So close to making tourney. Need to go on a run. Oh and not to mention I hate A&M.

A question for the Tigers that follow basketball more closely than myself:

For seating purposes and making it to the tourney, is there any extra emphasis put on games like A&M and Auburn where we are playing to go 1-1 versus a team? Or are all wins and losses weighted the same?

Not quite sure if it matters much against Auburn. But A&M and LSU are likely both bubble teams by the end of the season, and if the committee had to chose 1 in and 1 out, if A&M beat LSU twice, A&M gets in.

At this point we can really only comfortably lose one more game in regular season and be pretty sure we make tourney unless we go on a run in sec tourney

But to really answer the OP team's question, the team we saw the past 3 games will show up. Our SEC schedule is really tough towards the end of the season. This team tends to play to the level of their opponent. With that being said, we play well against the good teams down the stretch, and continue the good play in the tourney. Hopefully.

The one that's an underdog on the road. That team is 5-0.

Hopefully the team with some confidence after hanging with Kentucky and beating Tennessee. The team that wins from here on out.

Hopefully not the team that started 3-21 FG in Starkvegas. I like our chances if it's the team that dominated Tennessee.

I am not one for hyperbole, this is essentially the thunderdome of bubble games. Neither team guarantees a spot in the dance with a win, but the loser tonight is out. no 2 ways about it. this is about as big as it gets. I think they get it done.

All wins and losses are not weighted the same. I'm not saying the committee does this, but the "experts" always highlight quality wins and bad losses. Going 0-2 vs a team that would be a quality win might be better than going 1-1 against a team that gives you a bad loss.

Another stat that gets highlighted is W-L record in last 10 games. Depending on how deep we go into the SECt, this game falls into that last 10 record.

Road wins are always a big plus. So, in theory both aTm and AU are big for getting a quality W/preventing a bad L, road W, and record in last 10.
