Who is going to be dumb enough to stack the box to try and stop Fournette with Harris under center?

Well yeah. It was rhetorical. I'm really excited about this season.

Most coaches are smart enough to take away an opponents greatest strength even if they are balanced. Our coach doesn't believe in that, but most coaches do.

Look for LSU to have more passing yards than rushing yards against the first SEC opponent.

Exactly. I was the McNeese DC, I'd put nine in the box on the first series and see what BH has got.

I'll take that bet.

I'll will probably happen because that is Lance Guidry's normal method of operation. He believes in bringing pressure with blitzes, too. Only trouble, it puts our CB's on a island we tend to give up long pass plays. I don't know how long he will go with it against the Tigers, but I bet he tries it in the beginning.

hope Miles/Cam realize the importance of spreading out defenses this season. Tough to run into stacked boxes and tough to get the passing game going when the offense is bunched up and use one receiver routes. Hopefully go more shotgun/pistol more spread out formations this season, spread the offense which thus spreads the d, and open up some running room.

more to the point of the question, the answer is Miles/Cam had to learn the hard way that you can't have a successful offense running into stacked boxes

Seeing as how Dan Mullen nearly blew a 21 point lead by underestimating Harris last year... and Gus knows Harris about as well as an opponent can... I'll say that Harris won't take anyone by surprise this year.

This is a good thing for our running game.
