Probably the best in the Orgeron era

For sure. If UGA was prior biggest this has to be the best. UGA was different because we didn't really expect to win that game so it got rowdy as game went on.
Last night the whole stadium expected to win from before kickoff and it was tangible all night.

ETA: Probably a top 15, just off the top of my head.

Same for me. Was in school '04 to '09 and have been going to games consistently since late 90's. It was a great atmosphere, but it doesn't even get into the top 10 probably mostly because our defense struggle so badly. When your defense is letting a team slowly bleed the clock on 70+ yard drives and then your offense is on the field, there's a lot of down time.

Coach O in his post game, on the field interview, laughing, big smile, said the fans doing the gator chop had him all fired up. Didn't see the team doing it on the sidelines, that has to be a first, to that extent anyway.

Is there video somewhere of the fans doing that? I missed it while watching I guess.

In my mind 2003 UGA, 2007 UG and Auburn games were more consistent with the noise level butnlaat night was awesome.

Couldn’t hear my headphones a few times when the D was on the field. The chomping was excellent as well lol.

I think Ole Miss 2014 was consistently louder for the entire game than last nights game but I think a lot of that had to do with us being unable to stop Florida’s offense in the first half. It kind of took some energy out of the stadium when they tied they game at 21 late in the first half. After they got 28 points though, the place was rocking, especially in the 4th quarter

USC in 79 was louder but this was definitely a top 10.

it wasn't what it's been during Bama games or Florida games in 07/09
my thought was those games were the last time i can remember the atmosphere being like it was last night. it was incredible. like old times. fla 07. auburn 01 type crowd. not quite uga 03. that was the best ever. the gator chomp was an uga 03 type moment.

I wasn't there, and it seemed like a great atmosphere, but Florida's offensive success in the first half seemed to deaden the noise - at least that's how it sounded on TV.

I'm probably wrong, and I know TV can adjust the volume of crowd noise in the telecast, but the first half seemed more quiet. It picked up in the second half.

Alabama 2012, Fla, 1997? defeated them as #1, Auburn 1988 earthquake game. Ole Miss 1972 scoring with one second on clock. 67,500 fans and I never heard it so loud for that play. This one ranks up there, it was night time and I will tell you, no fans left and there was cheering from beginning to the end.

Totally awesome!! The crowd not only stayed the entire game but also stood almost the entire game. 113 decibels on the field was the highest I saw throughout the game. Great game!!

I’m younger and I would say last night was my favorite night in Tiger Stadium... At one point the ENTIRE stadium was doing the gator chomp in unison and it was the most beautiful thing. Really was a special night.

I'm old, and it's in top 5 probably. It was on fire last night. The Fla vs Hester game was prob the best.
