I searched for previous threads regarding his lack of playing time....Given his measurables and our current lack of OLine play, I thought we would have seen him by now

I was going to ask this question as well. He was supposed to be our best new OL guy but has disappeared...

He's riding the pine. And I don't know why. Grimes should be allowed to explain this, or relay it to the fans through Orgeron. He was an absolute mauler in HS and looked college ready the day he stepped on campus.

Give him some PT and find out what we have. KJM did not even slow down the Orange rush

What do you think needs explaining? Given the way the line has played and given that they've started a freshman at guard every game so far, can't we just assume that the staff doesn't feel Deculus is as good as the guys we're running out there?

Clearly they're not afraid to play freshmen, so that's not the reason. And they put Magee in for the freshmen guards on Saturday, so clearly they're not afraid to shuffle guys.

its very rare for 18/19 year old olinemen to be able to play well against sec dlinemen.

No he wasn't. He was the highest rated by some recruiting services, but they got it wrong. Very easy to understand. It happens every year at multiple positions.

He might turn out to be very good, but as of now, he's our third best in this class.

Saw him come over and hug his mom before the Chattanooga game. Kid is a giant. His family was excited saying that he should get playing time that night, but I'm not sure if he saw the field.

He is a left tackle, could possibly play guard. KJ Malone IS the left tackle. If you know anything about OL play LT is and requires different skills than RT.

I'm pretty sure he played against Chattanooga, and maybe BYU.

Different positions so you don't know that yet. I think the original plan was to get Decelus playing guard but the lack of depth at tackle has forced him to be a safety net there.

If I'm not mistaken, he starts on special teams.
