So where did you attend college? Where ever it was or is they need to teach you to read so you can look up the meaning of the word FAN !! Have lived in Bossier City all most of my life and I quite sure was an LSU fan long before you were daddy's little SQUIRT as have the big majority of people in this area!

I think we made our point clear. He doesn't want to respond now.

Shreveport does have a pretty big Ole Miss crowd (way bigger than Arkansas, Texas, and Texas A&M). I would say it's....

LSU-90%
Ole Miss-5%
Arkansas,Texas,Texas A&M,etc-5%

I agree with this, but I would the remaining is more like Ole Miss-4.5%
Arkansas,Texas,Texas A&M,4.5%
All the rest 1%

It doesn't really matter, because studies show that 57.3% of all statistics are made up.

grew up in Shreveport, it's very strong LSU, La Tech is strong as well as the bigger Texas schools and Arkansas is not as despised either.

Stems from them carrying the Cowboy games versus Saints for a while.

FACT: Until a few years ago NLA was much more into the cowboys than the saints.

Id say Shreveport might even be the biggest section of LSU fans including BR. Seriously.

Shreveport has been a Cowboys town because the local CBS station's broadcast area has a significant swath in east Texas and they are apppealing to their market. Plus Dallas is much closer than New Orleans and had been more successful over the years than the Saints.

Re college teams, it's LSU by a landslide.

This is true....But we didn't have a say in it. The NFL dictated who we got to watch play on TV. Now the NFL is allowing the local FOX station to carry the Saints games and there are a lot of Saints Fans here.

True story. Couple of years ago LSU's baseball team came up to play at the Shreveport Captain's Field. The normal attendance for the Shreveport Captains is about 300.

So, the concessions people were used to ordering food and beer for 300. The crowd for LSU was 4,000.
They ran out of food and beer in the 1st inning. It was not pretty.

shreveport has tons of BANDWAGON wannabe lsu fans. unfortunately i've been here for almost 4 years now, i stopped a long time ago asking these "fans" i meet if they are actual alumni. you might find one in a hundred that have any actual affiliation with the school

So... You have to go to a school in order to be a legit fan of it's athletics? Really? If that's the case, then nearly all of LSU's fans are bandwagoners. That's a retarded argument. If they've been fans of LSU or any other team through good times and bad, then they are legit. I know people up there who never went to LSU, who give a ton of money to TAF, go to every home game, and go to a number of away games. Sure sure, bandwagoners because they didn't attend LSU. RIIiiight... You're an idiot. That's like saying you can't be a legit fan of the Braves because you never lived in Atlanta, yet I would imagine that a ton of people in Louisiana are Braves fans because they were on TV all the time when they were young.

Everybody loves a winner. And the Saints were pathetic during my growing-up years.

Could it be that some of us were Cowboy fans before there was even a Saints franchise. I was a little kid in the 1960s, but I grew up on Cowboy football. What was I supposed to do, switch allegiance just because Louisiana got an NFL franchise. I am a Saints fan as well, but I hate it when I get criticized for being a Cowboy fan also. I love both of my sons too...the one who came first and the second born as well.

Also isn't the only two times the Independence Bowl has sold out and had to bring in extra seats to accommodate ticket demand was when LSU played?
