Lets look at all he players MSU is losing to start.

two WR
Three OL (LT/C/RG)
Dak may leave
JR Robinson
4 D-Line (3 starters)
1 LB
2 Secondary (1 CB 1 S)

This doesn't include all the JR who could declare early. MSU did what they did this year because of their SR. They will take a major step back to being typical MSU.

Now Ole Miss ( I think they are overrated)
Bo Wallace
They have a lot of players on Defense not all starters but a lot of players

Starters
MLB, OLB CB S
Backups
2 DT backups 1 DE backup, OLB Backup Backup CB

They also have 8 JR on both sides.

Ole Miss will lose their top QB and a lot of defensive players.

MSU and Ole Miss will be their typical teams next year. I suspect anywhere from 3-6.

right

but at the beginning of next season, LSU will probably be ranked or predicted to be ranked around 4th or 5th in the SEC west

that is what this thread is about...I think

calm down

yeah I know

some people have talked about what LSU will eventually become by the end of the season.

Bama loses their QB and likely Cooper, Yeldon, and Collins. Their 4 best players

When will some of you learn Bama reloads every year. Seriously, they haven't won less than 10 games since 2007, their worst season since 2007 was 2010 which was STILL 10-3...which was our best season the last 3 years (2012-2014).

1. Alabama

2a. Auburn
2b. LSU
2c. Mississippi State
2d. Arkansas
2e. Ole Miss
2f. TAM

Bama will again be the best team in the conference, the rest have the potential to finish 2nd or last.

They are that good I think based on their schedule. Last night showed they are down this year, and I think they were down last year. Their D will get better but their offense will take a step back.

We start where we finished this season. You have to work your way up.

Probably 3-4.

Bama is going to get the benefit of the doubt until it is shown that they can lose more than 1 SEC game on a regular basis.

AU is going to have to replace their QB, RB and one (maybe two) WRs. Malzahn will get the benefit of the doubt because he took a former DB and continued to have his offense humming. Also, folks will thin Muschamp will turn that defense around (TBD)

Ark. is a question mark. They looked pretty good all year (even in losses) and came on late. Is that enough to put them as a SEC favorite, who knows?

OM and State are losing a lot, not the least of which (probably), experienced QBs. Plus two of OM's best players suffered bad broken legs this season. Will they be the same coming back from injury?

Many will think that Chavis makes the A&M defense legit (I have my doubts that any DC can make a spread-offense team have a great defense).

LSU returns a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball. The question is whether the coaching staff is competent enough to do something with the very talented roster. 1. Who is the DC? 2. Does Miles finally wake up and realize that there has to be significant changes in the way they do things on offense?

This will be where they start and where they finish. This happens and it will and CLM needs to be shown the door.

I say anywhere from 3rd to 6th (real precise prediction, I know). There is still so much left to happen that could affect us. For instance:

1) Early draft declarations
2) Offseason incidents
3) National Signing Day

Behind Bama ahead of State, OM, Aggie. Pretty much same as AU.

QB play is the real key.
