(Not counting the championship games of course)

I say Top 3. My vote for other 2 are '19 vs Bama and '07 vs UF are the only other ones that come to mind.

Both those teams went on to win Natty's but '22 Bama is a special game for different reasons - it signaled the rebirth of the program and LSU winning a game that NO ONE believed they could.

It’s #1 for me but don’t sleep on Byrd in the back of the end zone vs Auburn

Bro, LSU football is 130 years old. There were great games that happened before 2007.

I’m just using the LSU Alabama Series

2011 LSU @ AL 1 vs 2
2019 LSU @ AL 1 vs 3
2005 LSU @ AL 3 vs 5
2012 AL @ LSU 1 vs 5
2022 AL @ LSU 6 vs 10

Lots of good games.

2011 was called the game of the century for a reason. Talk about heavyweights just going at it for 60+ minutes. Best all around defense performance from two teams we will likely ever see.

Considering we beat a very talented Bama team with the way this season started; it has to be in the top two at least.

The problem with the 2011 game is that only fans is the two teams would rank it high. Every play mattered because the game mattered to the fanbases

You wouldn’t be saying the same thing about a 9-6 Ohio State @ Michigan game

Best game I've ever seen in Tiger Stadium and if it wasn't number 1 it was 1B

Yup. If it wasn't LSU, I'm prolly turning it off at the half.

Not me! That was a style of football we may never see again. There were some hard hits both defenses brought so much intensity. It's one of my favorite games ever. You can see a shootout any given weekend.
Those were probably the 2 best defenses of my lifetime just going at it and the offenses just hoping desperately to crack through. Punters were huge in that game

I get it, but at that time in college football, having #1 and #2 in such a slugfest, I think the whole nation was tuned in. Context matters I suppose

The 1979 LSU v. USC should be included on any list of all-time great games in Tiger Stadium. It was a loss, but the only game I’ve ever seen where the crowd gave an enormous and sustained ovation for the Tigers in a loss. The atmosphere was electric throughout the game, the team played inspired football. I think anyone who was there would say it was a truly incredible game.

The loss in 2012 means one of the greatest Tiger performances will always be undervalued. The second half was a thing of beauty, with a couple of bounces (ex. the perfectly scouted and nearly perfectly executed onside kick) deciding the better team that night did not win.
