When would you acknowledge that LSU needs a coaching change?

First of all, let me say that I have NOT abandoned hope for this season. In fact, I am expending a great deal of time, energy, and money to fly from the Midwest to most of the remaining games, including UGA, Bama, and Ole Miss. No one (and I do mean no one), wants LSU to win more than I do. Anyone who travels with the team knows the misery that ensues after a road loss. I don't want to trudge dejectedly from stadium after stadium, surrounded by crowing opposing fans hurling insults at the team, the staff, and the state of Louisiana. It's painful.
That being said, I just want to guage the pulse of the Rant fanbase. At what point would you recognize that a head coaching change needs to be made?
If LSU finishes 5-3 in the SEC?
If LSU finishes 4-4 in the SEC?
If LSU finishes 3-5 in the SEC?
If LSU finished 2-6 in the SEC?
No matter what, you would give Les Miles another year to right the ship?
No matter what, you think Les Miles should be replaced?
Depends upon how the team plays in its wins and losses?
Depends upon continued recruiting success?
Some other criteria?
I am purely curious. This is NOT an assessment of the current state of the season nor a prognostication of how the season will turn out. I just want to know what the consensus is.

Unless he gets caught fricking a cow in the barn, worst case will be that he is on the hot seat at the end of next season if he screws up, and fired the following if he screws that one up as well. Contracts such as his are rather expensive to buy out.

I'd be interested to hear about any criteria that fans are considering?

When the AD makes that decision

exactly. we could go 7-5 this year and the AD can't do anything. Next year if we were to go 7-5 again, things would start to heat up, but Miles would still have 2 years left on his contract.

Dudes. We're 4-0.
It's a completely hypothetical question. We know we're in good shape as far as the record goes.

3 years with 4 or more losses as far as I am concerned.
I do not think it will happen with Miles. He's a good coach with great talent. Now I am leaving Friday for Georgia and praying that the Tigers will show the best they have all year. It's a long walk to the bus when we lose there.

If we continue to keep having top recruiting classes and finish with 4 or more losses for this season and the next, then it will be time. It would either come down to not coaching these players or not recognizing talent. Only time will tell.

stupid thread
Not pretty but the Tigers are 4-0

The only coaches that are guaranteed to do better than Miles all have jobs they aren't leaving anytime soon. So for me, it would take 2 more 6-6/7-5 type seasons before it's time to take a chance on someone else.
But we could lose the rest of our games this year, and I still think he should get at least one more year.

Zook got fired after 3 consecutive winning seasons. Worked out pretty well for Florida.

No one wants to fire him. Its just a hypothetical question.

how could you abandon hope when you haven't lost yet? Especially when we've won a NC after 2 loses...

Still don't get it, no team blows out opponents year in an year out.
Ugly wins, but I'll take them over a loss any day!!

But Urban Meyer is not available for us.
btw, if he had gone to Notre Dame instead of UF, who was Florida's 2nd choice? I can't remember.
