on both plays he just falls down in the back field after the fake hand-off, didn't stumble, was nowhere near taking a hit from a defensive player.
I saw this - and thought WTF????
I was in Corpus watching with my son and forgot to put the DVR timer on at home so I cannot re-watch the game. Did this happen more than once??
I have seen him whiff on blocking assignments before and figured that is what was limiting his playing time.
I am/was one of Ford's biggest fans - from his home town - know him personally (he is a great kid - had a wonderful attitude in high school) but if this is typical of his performance, I would opt for others as well.

I'll give Ford this...
He is clearly the best back on the team when the OL opens a huge hole and nobody touches him.

Bama is shaking in their boots over facing 15 carries of Alfred Blue
I highly doubt Alabama is afraid of anyone on LSU's offense.
Can you say for sure that Ford isn't afraid of getting hit by Alabama's defense, or any other defense? I can't.

but I didn't see any Blue hate.
I think people are using the term "hate" around here too much. Evidence of a melodramatic and hyperbolic mentality

Think you answered your own question (sort of). Les isn't going to tolerate putting the ball on the ground with the great backs we have.
IDK, he kept starting and playing Ridley as usual after the UNC game last year. And he fumbled twice.

Sadly, I cannot argue with this = I do not see him has having done anything special since he got here.
And nobody was more giddy about his arrival than I - and nobody was more disappointed he didn't immediately leap into a starting role than I was.
I think he has had adequate opportunities to show how special he is.
Sadly, so far I have not seen it. Ware is undoubtedly the better back. Blue seems on a par, at least. I liked Magee last night.
Ford has to step up his game or he will be a bust.
And I f'ing LOVE the kid.

I thought they were opening some big holes yesterday and the backs often weren't touched until they got 3-4-5 yards downfield. He would have been effective yesterday.

it's a legit question
you fricking people ruin this board
so you think someone here has distinct knowledge on the packages for next week, prior to first practice session. It wasn't a legit question. It was yet another thread started to bullshite about the backs/Miles/doghouses.

then why do talk about anything on this board? why does it even exist? why does any message board exit? if talking and speculating about the future is outlawed, according to you, then what's the point of continuing the thread.
chicken, please close up shop, tigerfoot says we arent allowed to ask questions about the future or possible scenarios, or anything like that.

No sidestep, because you have no point. If you do say it. If not keepnasking unanswerable questions to folks. Like this post, nd then bitch about people expressing opinions.
Or should I answer third series of AU game? See how silly a real answer to your "legit" question sounds?

I think he'll get a few carries per game until there are injury issues, others prove to be ineffective, he gets tougher, or some combination of the three.
Posted on 10/9/11 at 7:15 pm to tigerfoot
i dont care about people expressing their opinions, when it pertains to the topic of the thread. but posts and posts and posts about this being a hate les miles or hate alfred blue thread? please. get outta here with that bullshite
sure, you can say that, i dont care. a broader answer like, "i think we work him in a little more against tennessee", or "i think blue has overtaken him as #2, and he'll see 3rd RB PT the rest of the way", probably would have been better answers

thanks for the answer, mot
i think he has had better productivity than blue and magee and im not sure where the "get tougher" statement comes from, but ok. it's nice to see someone stay on topic

Why would that be better? I have zero information that leads me to believe anything about the lineup. The same as 99.8 percent of this board. Therefore a thread based on pure speculation and guesses would make one appear to have an agenda.
Sorry if that is wrong. I guess when Ware hurts a shoulder or Blue tweaks an ankle. Something besides the fumble has happened. Blown protects, something.
