And you think Harris would have started over Braxton Miller, cardale Jones or Jt Barrett?

You guys are fools. Btw, LSU recruited two of those.

i just don't understand how people can say Danny has been this massive upgrade.

because solid is massively better than shaky.

the game of football rewards being able to keep drives alive.
a solid short passing game = Etling

Harris has zero pocket presence and no touch on his passes and airmailed many passes. That had nothing to do with scheme.

He couldn't get any confidence this year.

Really? Im pretty sure he went on record this summer stating he was "the best qb in college football". Harris is Harris' biggest problem. Had he been able to make short or intermediate throws or not get his receivers killed, he would still be starting. He regressed in his abilities and Etling got the nod. Etling has performed way better than Harris this year and that is why Harris is on the bench. Quit making everything so personal. The vast majority of us have nothing against Brandon. We just want the best qb on the field. If you want to call that "dogging" then so be it.

I read this entire thread imagining that Harris himself was saying what was typed... It was really, really entertaining.

People who have never played the game don't realize how coaching/ play calling failed Harris. Had he played for a offensive coach with a little creativity to his game plan he may have shined. Prior coaches that are no longer with the team truly ruined him!

Now this is just pure bullshite. Harris on numerous occasions was given a check down to a te or a RB, instead he just throws to his boy chi. That's why eitling is better. It's not the play calling, it's his ability to actually spread the ball around.

Go back and watch how many times fournette was open last year and Harris never even glances at him.

Our fans just continue to make shite up.

So he lost 4 games and Etling in 8 games and lost 3. Not an improvement. Not to mention that bad offense we had looked head and shoulders better against Bama and UF compared to what we put on the scoreboard this year. Numbers don't lie.

I don't excuse Harris's bad moments, but I will call out a delusional fan who dogs Harris but makes excuses for Danny Excuse for making many of the same mistakes and scoring less points in big games.

You could sense fear whenever he was out there. He had no presence in the pocket. He never went through his reads. My impression of Harris is him blindly throwing the ball at the end of the Wisconsin game, and then crying on the sideline. He was so out of it mentally, it was too much

It's not "dogging" on Harris to point out his inadequacies. Jeez, he signed to play football at LSU 0 big expectations and big pressure. Legitimate criticism is appropriate.

The first part of our schedule in 2015 was very soft, so if Harris played well and we rose to #4 in the rankings, it was a bit of a fraud. We got exposed in November last year.

Look, Harris just isn't an SEC calibre QB. His accuracy is poor, his ability to read defenses, check down, and poise in the pocket are all poor. All of this is crystal-clear to any clear-eyed football fan.

He had plenty of chances and, like Jennings, I hope he does well at his next stop, but he's not the answer for LSU.

I have no idea

I wish they'd cut this shite out

They have spread so many inaccurate statements since day one

And if he had some of the same lapses Etling had he would have gotten so much shite for it

Not sure why we can't just appreciate all the players that come here and put time into this program

He got a raw deal working under Cameron and Miles who were either unable or unwilling to develop the most important position on the team.

When a guy can no longer throw a pass in the flat it's time stop labeling him a QB.
