[quote]Get to play a team you ALREADY beat at their house, and let them stomp you a new one in your own back yard. Just take care of bidness[quote]

You just proved your own argument doesn't hold water.

We took care of business, had to play an extra game, and they get awarded a do over.

I don't care how good they were, we beat them, should've been over and done.

And they're schedule for next season is another "gauntlet."

So who should we have played instead?

Okie State. They had more top 25 wins and won their conference title.

In 2003 we had to play Georgia twice in the same season. They had the revenge factor and back yard advantage the second time around and we thrashed them. Like I said, just take care of bidness. BAMA had the same advantages many on here are moaning about before 2010 and yielded 0 titles. Give it a rest. For what it is worth, I think we run the table and win it all this year, even with the harder schedule.

In 2003 Georgia won the SEC east, and thus played their way into the SEC Championship game. Bama was voted into the 2011 NC Mulligan. Apples and oranges ... more like apples and peanuts.

We are not gonna change each others mind. I just can't help but wonder though, if BAMA wins because of the SEC office being in Birmingham, favorable ref calls, easier schedules, poll voter bias, recruting rating bias etc. how did they go from 1992 to 2010 with no title?? And why do they spend over 5 million on a coach?? Seems like a waste of money with all these things "guaranteeing" you championships.

But, but, but...they didn't pass the "EYE TEST"

I propose a new rule for next year: The first bastard who utters the words "EYE TEST" gets a stick in the eye! Beauty is in the EYE of the beholder and Herbie and the boys only have eyes for Saban.

The whole point of the BCS formula was to add some objectivity and get past the beauty pageant that is human polling. By the numbers, Okie St. got jobbed.

The bad thing is that LSU is included as part of bammers weaker schedule and bammer is included in lsus harder schedule

And had a higher SOS and beat more teams with winning records.

OSU. Gundy dropped the ball on that too. He should've made more of an effort for his team instead of just rolling over when Bama was announced.

Very few points separated Bama and OSU at the end of the regular season.

One was a team we already beat, a team that didn't win it's own division, let alone it's conference.

The other was the winner of it's conference, a team we didn't play. And what he said^.

Makes sense to me.

That makes more sense seeing as how we don't play Georgia every year and they're in the East. At least Georgia plays Florida, USCe.

2 teams from the West playing twice in one year? Come on.

Point being the two best teams ended up in the final game, regardless of they had already played. And they thrashed us. Just like we were the best team in 2007, even though we had two losses. The two best teams ended up playing that year also. You actually think that the last three Bama title teams, given our schedule, would not have still won three titles?

They would have. But i still believe even with our schedule and a loss @ Tuscaloosa, we are not in. Now granted, we prob still in with an seccg loss, but that would gave stirred the pot. 2 non conference winners from the same conference in the bcs title game. No way that happens, We had to win the sec all 3 times we played in the bcs title game. Period end of story.

Now you think bana gies undefeated with our schedule last season? I doubt it, they didnt even go undefeated with their scheduke 2 years in a row.

Lsu is 15-2 in the sec iver the last 2 seasons. Bama is 15-2 in the sec over the last 2 seasons. Both have an sec championship, one has a mulligan. That is the diff, the name.

We will never know if we lost to.uga what would happen. Could have been the sane, could have been LSU osu or bana osu. All we know is LSU had to win the sec bith times under miles to seal their fate. Bama didnt.

Yall can believe bama was better, i dont. They just were better on a january night after backing into a game 45 days away after already losing to the same team at home. Lsu had already proven they were the best team in the country.

The ranking on DEC 1st 2012 looks more realistic because Alabama had a soft schedule last year and holy cow who do they get to play in the frickin' national championship game!

Never. They have never had a disadvantage in SEC schedule. Not one single year in all of history have they had the toughest conference schedule in the SEC. They might have had tougher overall schedules occasionally, but their conference schedule is ALWAYS easier than ours and most of the other teams'.

1999 and 2009 say hello. And the fact that they didn't win titles more often despite every conceivable advantage being given to them just goes to show how shitty they were.

2010-2011 was the last season they had a more difficult schedule using regular season only

I think I remember something about how about half of the teams on their schedule had scheduled a bye week before they played Bama. It was talked about here and turned out to be legit.
