Just for some perspective, one of the greatest/winning-est QBs of ALL TIME, Terry Bradshaw, had less than 10 300 yd games his entire NFL CAREER. I believe he had less than 5 in the reg season.

My point is that if you are skull f'ing the opponent and your DEF is playing lights out then usually by the 3rd quarter typically there is no need to continue to pass for big ydg.

LSU has a very good formula to win games, so don't expect that to change any time soon.

Your logic isn't welcomed here on the rant... We don't care if we win or not but we just want to see an aerial attack...... Winning just isn't good enough anymore.....

If he has been given the opportunity to play an entire game he very easily and regularly could have had 300 yards, but you're not gonna get 300 yards when you are rotating with JJ

Bradshaw was not an all-time great. He had two hall-of-fame receivers, a hall-of-fame running back, multiple hall-of-fame lineman to go along with one of the best defenses in NFL history. Oh, he also had one of the best coaches. Trent Dilfer would have won 4 super bowls with that team. Bradshaw gets way too much credit. His career completion percentage and passer rating is absolutely abysmal. In his career, he only threw 2 more TD's than INT's. So bringing up Bradshaw is a terrible example, unless you mean to say that we should be able to win championships with even a crappy QB.

Most ever given up by Saban while at Bama.

That team was coached by Miles and we threw it 44 times in a game against Alabama.

Also, look at how much we threw it in 2006, sans the Auburn game - where we still threw the ball over 30 times, I think. We just weren't very effective until the end.

Miles will throw the ball if he has a QB that he can trust. He threw the ball at Oklahoma St. If Mett proves trustworthy, we will have a 2 dimensional offense again. Lee and JJ were not trustworthy. Unfortunately, 4 out of the 7 years that Miles has coached LSU before this year, he had Lee/JJ as QBs.
