2011 was set back by not having any night games plus an 11 am game.

Seemed like we just caught some bad breaks last year when it came to our three "big" home games. Auburn was during/after a deluge, Florida game was at 2:30 when it was unbelievably hot, and the A&M game was at 2:30 on a day when it was cold, rainy, and windy.

Seems like Florida game fell on midterm week.

2008 alabama game marked the end of the "golden era" in terms of stadium atmosphere....IMO.

That blocked kick is one of my favorite moments in tiger stadium.

Just get it over and start selling beer in the fricking stadium. Times have changed. Who cares about wifi and hd screens. Sell the beer and Tiger Stadium is back.

2007 was amazing.

The only game without a great crowd that year was the Ar-Kansas game. I guess people still had the turkey day hangover.

Florida in '09 was loud as hell. We shouldve won that game, I Dgaf.

Meyer said when he worked at espn that was the loudest he's ever heard any stadium.

2011 was great but the atmosphere was not the same as previous years. It really did stop after the second bcs title. I think day games ruined it too.

We blew everyone out.

The South Carolina game in 2012 was great. The fans still get after it for the big ones

I remember the crowd being great in the 4th quarter.

Arkansas 4th down conversion was pretty Damn loud

2011 wasn't as good simply because we blew teams out from start to finish in every home game outside Arkansas where we started off slow, shocker. Also, both our big non conference games weren't at home. 2007 was prob the last time because we had a good home schedule and so many gsmes were intense throughout

I was there and the stadium was half empty when ODB returned the punt for a TD. Atmosphere was shite compared to early 2000s games.

Totally agree. I was a student at the time. I ended up 5 rows down from where I started.

I also think it was the loudest peak 10-15 seconds in stadium history.

Troy game 2006(?). Shouldn't have been such a great game but it was. Russell to Bowe for the game winning TD. I could be mistaken though.

I remember the 2009 Florida game pre game was pretty electric, 2010 game vs bama pretty awesome. I haven't been to as many games in the last 3 years though so I can't comment past that.

Every year there are games that bring back the magic but as a whole 2007 was the last year of every game having an energetic deaf crowd from start to finish.

This just isn't the case...unless you're suggesting Middle Tenn St and LA Tech blowouts were crazy from start to finish.

Fact is in the modern era when there are simply a ton more ways to enjoy the game both inside and outside the stadium, only the big games and only the big games that remain competitive have a shot at being frenetic. And even then, you'll have a handful of asshats that leave early.

That being said, when she's on, there's still no better place to be than Tiger Stadium. When it's rocking, it's no different than it was back in the early 80's when I went to my first games. Doing it consistently is harder than it used to be, but the end result is as good or better than it ever has been.

And that was before the closure of the SEZ.

2010. It had started to decline slightly with the increasing tailgate restrictions and pay parking, but LSU had not gone full nazi yet. Also, the games were all super exciting as LSU was living on the razor's edge all year.

2007 was probably the peak as so many of the atmosphere destroying, money grabbing, regulations soon followed.
