I don't think anyone is argueing the fact that the guy got stomped. I also don't hear anyone else, who is supporting Jefferson, saying who stomped the guy. I think the cops got the right guy.

As I've said before: cops usually make up their minds about guilt or innocence early on in a case. The ensuing investigations are to either corroborate or disprove what they already suspect to be true.

physical evidence

This. All they have cared about was who kicked the person in the head. Once they know that, they can make an arrest and let the courts, etc figure out why said person was kicked in the head and should the kicker be punished.

nothing to be done in all reality... if that was JJ doing the kicking in the video that is all that matters.. that is a felony whether we like it or not. won't matter who started the fricking fight, you can't just kick someone for 30 seconds as they lie defenseless on the ground.

let him fry, frick it. give me Mett!!!!

They are so proud of themselves for going all CSI with the shoe prints that they disregard any witness accounts that conflict with it.

Cops don't determine guilt or innocence. Judges and juries do.

Wrong, if there are conflicting reports, but you know something has occurred. One of two things in this situation would happen from how I see it.

#1 Everything would be forwarded to the Detectives division to continue the investigation and find more evidence.
Or what I think should happen in this case #2, Everyone is booked for La R.S. 14:103, and then let it be sorted out by the Judge.

They investigate, very, very carefully, in this case.
When they are sure of what happened, they act upon those facts. That is OUR system. There is absolutely NO way they "jumped" to a conclusion.

Look, this is now in the "system". And, it's just going to have to play out. There is absolutely nothing we can do.

What they usually do is charge everyone with disturbing the peace by engaging in a fistic encounter and let the court's sort it out.
