This is the play a&m used to burn Alabama several times. Hopefully it gets figured out soon. He had a good game regardless. Finally started stepping into his throws with the young line playing as a unit in front of him.

When you normally have 2 seconds to throw a pass, you don’t develop the rhythm to check down to your 3rd target

that worked well for the first down in the 4th Q that helped set up the go-ahead FG

Rewatching the game he had plenty of opportunities with time to make the throw. I ain't bagging on the guy but I would like to see it more when Guice is rediculously wide open.

I believe Danny was the guy that was the winning QB Saturday. Am I right?

Fix the motherfricking pass blocking and you'll see a completely different level of execution in the passing game

Danny should have the benefit of watching from his couch without 10 guys 6'5" or taller in his face

Then he could be as good as we are

Pass blocking was not bad the past two games. Run blockin is leaving something to be desired though. If the pass blocking is as bad as you are saying then hitting his check down should be a top pirority.

I'm not knocking the dude, but he's progressed as far as he's going to so the excuses will have to stop one day. It's that normal QB complaint that he stares down one receiver, is late to throw the ball, and will not check down that get's these threads started.

With that said, he's a damn warrior and has the right attitude, so he's alright by me.

this is the one constantly poor element throughout the season. I really thought our running game under Canada would be much better.

I'm an Etling fan but you're absolutely right, Guice could be a weapon if he'd just look at the checkdown. No
clue why he doesn't but he needs to start.

Our overall passing game needs to grow up fast. We need to throw on 1st down as well as use the middle of the field. Neither of these should be off-limits.

Can only hope for "Minimally Acceptable" with this bunch. They've gone from "Unacceptably Bad" to MA every now and then.

They can't pass block that well because the OL Coach hasn't been able get all 5 starters to execute his scheme consistently.

All 5 starters aren't that talented to begin with; 4 of the 5 would have trouble starting on Bama's scout team OL.

Hard to "Fix" when both the talent and coaching aint there.

May be "Fixable" in 2018 after the overhaul.

Can only hope for MA for the remainder of the season.

If the O line stays like it was Sat or improves further he'll be more comfortable and the checkdowns will become easy.

He probably learnt his lesson Saturday when he finally availed of the opportunity.
