I noticed he took a few snaps there at the end of the WKU game. Also noticed Ducre played on the last snap of the game and got a decent block (for some reason Ducre is a big topic here)

Is he full time as FB now? I thought he was supposed to be a reserve LB.

I was surprised to see them burn Ducre's redshirt for one play.

I believe Feist is still a LB, they were just looking at all of their options.

Hopefully Moore is healthy by Bama.

The reason I ask is because on his lsusports.net bio he is listed as a FB now.

Your OP makes it seem that you thought Ducre was a LB and moved to FB.

Ducre was always a FB/RB
Feist was always a LB (until last week)

I would guess they were imagining that he'd play several plays, not expecting Guice to take it to the house on the one play he went in for.

Don't they have to play a certain number of plays to no longer be able to red shirt? II really could be mistaken.

They only need one unless they have an "injury" (wink wink), in which case they need to play in less than 25% of games or something like that. I'm sure he'll burn his pinky making microwaved popcorn next week and qualify for a redshirt this year.

Nope. Was just talking to members of compliance two weeks ago, one play and the redshirt is burned.

Who said anything about him leaving early?

Earlier in Miles' tenure, everyone jumped his arse for playing upperclassmen and using seniority as a factor in determining playing time. Now he gets shite for burning redshirts and playing the young talent he has.

we have, at minimum, five games left in the season with a banged up starter.

It doesn't surprise me in the least that we are trying to utilize our talent to the utmost. We are undefeated with a shot at the SEC West.....leave no bullets in the gun this season.

We should be able to land a top 5 FB in every class if we want. We're a premiere program and utilize the fullback in our blocking scheme more than most teams.

We won't have trouble recruiting the type of athlete to play FB, the problem is there's less and less people who know how to play FB in high schools these days.

Mouton wasn't getting the job done. We need a good fullback in the scheme. With Moore banged up we have to find a good backup.

Maybe should be able to, but walk ons have pretty much started at that position for the past few years.
