I would love to see how this fan base would react to a REAL harsh market like Boston New York or chicago. These fans wouldn't be able to read newspapers and internet, watch tv or listen to radio due to reporters ask truths to be accounted for .. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha !

It's a play action pass. Therefore a quick pass/decision. You turn and if it's there you throw it. It was there, Harris threw not a great pass and Moreau pulls a t-Rex.

My main point is: the coaching staff should be putting the best personnel on the field for us to succeed on a given play. A freshman tight end and a receiver that we have avoided all year did not give us that in the biggest game of the year down by 3.

Harris was that terrible, and deserves criticism. I don't read this as trying to argue for Harris to get benched or anything, just showing that Harris had an awful game, and needs to play better.

i thought the pass blocking was better than the run blocking. Sure he was pressured a bit at times, but he missed some throws that cost us from gaining any momentum. Even simple passes to LF that would have been huge gains.

The ball drops down below his shoulder, a good QB with a quick release the ball stays up

Only when he's on the run. His mechanics in the pocket, along with his footwork are great. One of the reasons he has such a strong arm despite his size

Twitter, follow him. It happens then he deletes it.

so you can offer nothing to support your statement despite it being "constant"

The oline was bad but so was he, I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings

I've yet to see someone say he played well. You missed the point

Maybe that's why we don't see more screens and intermediate passing, maybe the coaches know this?

Must have been a problem with every LSU QB since JR and Flynn. We still didn't run many RB screens with them either

And you never actually gave the reasons. Throwing motion a screen is going to be a lot different than any of these.

HB screens arent a part of the lsu offense

This, and if Harris says, "Stop disrespecting me; just sit back in awe as I do my thing," then, when everyone in the football universe is watching, he needs to do his thing, and not look like a first game freshman and complete less than a third of his passes.

Exactly, we last heard him talk after the UF game, where he went 13/19,for 202 yards and 2 TDs against a top 10 team

He was asked about critics to the passing game and said this:

quote:

On critics of the passing game...

"It's nothing but motivation to me, and I can't stand it. I play with a chip on my shoulder every single week. I say this real humbly. This team knows how talented we are passing the ball. Everybody knows what I can do throwing the football."

So he said it after he already backed it up in that game. Nothing wrong with the team having confidence in their abilities

He's pissy because Les wouldn't allow Harris and LF to speak to the media after the game. Several local writers got their jimmies super rustled, simple as that.

They should have left BH keep throwing (after INT)

Absolutely, as the INT was not BH's fault but the TE who had his hands up to catch ball but lowered them I guess cause he thought it was Quinn's pass. If you can catch a ball catch the damn ball and don't assume its another player's pass to catch!

Arkansas will be the test to see if Miles will open up the passing game and if he doesn't Kleinpeter will be again telling the TRUTH like it really is.

The Air Coryell system has a lot of fundamental logic behind it and it makes sense with athletic WRs and when used in conjunction with a dominant run game, but the staff made a mistake of deluding itself into thinking the simplistic use of it was sustainable against Bama.

It's absolutely imperative that you have a short to intermediate pass game to complement the rest of what you do on offense. Harris did this rather poorly against Bama, but you have to think that wouldn't have happened as severely if we developed it throughout the season. What we have is a boom or bust offense, so Saban, knowing that we likely wouldn't use the middle of the field, was quite content to allow the possibility of a couple big pass plays by trusting his CBs and just use his big DL to clog the gaps.

So instead of sulking like a child, and shutting down the passing attack entirely against a directional school in order to make a point to a bunch of 20 yr olds because they dropped some passes, get a rhythm going so that you don't look hopeless against Bama when they shut down the run.

Regardless of all of that, even if Harris is having a bad game, you still need to be throwing it a lot in the second half. It doesn't matter if he's a true sophomore on the road. If we lose, we lose. What we did clearly was a terrible strategy.

This. Did the guy write anything that was untrue? I'm no elite athlete. I cannot do half the things we expect of Harris. But at the end of the day, its not my job to; it's his. Nothing wrong with people evaluating your job performance. He's gotten plenty of props for doing good. If you don't want to hear/see a starting quarterback get criticized, Baton Rouge is just not your town, bruh.

Telling harris to shut up, when he hasn't been talking, is not doing his job

He's pissy because Harris hasn't been available to the media.

Its true that he does not throw well on the run. That is something that he needs to fix.

Harris had a bad game because OL had a bad game.

?
19, or more like 22 attempts counting sacks/scrambles, is plenty enough and any rhythm problem would fall at the feet of OL.

no, it was a bad pass, regardless of whether it was targeted for the WR or the TE.
