What's the reasoning behind not being able to review calls on plays like that ?

That's a tough call for them to make I get that so there's no logical reason that shouldn't be a reviewable play.

The only reasoning is it isn't allowed by the rule of what can and can be replayed. They need to expand replay plain and simple.

Just the rules for now. However, based on all the bad calls that went for and against us, I bet this changes next year.
We benefited so no bitching is allowed no matter what you or I think.

Replay fair and foul and close plays at each base. What else ever gets reviewed in MLB?

Well that's what I'm saying, why in the frick would they not include in things that are reviewable?

It hasn't been vote on and approved yet. It will be. Replay is still new in the game of baseball which is dumb in its own right.

I don't think it would have been reversed. I think he was safe but they don't reverse it unless it's 100% obvious.

Well tbh we've benefited from more of those calls than not so far

But yeah, I imagine they will make some changes to replay after some of these calls in the very near future.

Limited for now in order to keep the games moving, but it will change I'm sure.

We got the same exact call on one of Paps throw downs. Hard to bitch about calls not going in our favor

Well there seems to be some debate on whether or not that foul ball could have been reviewed, Casey just did not push for it.

I'm more harping on how dumb the extremely limited range of reviewable plays they went with.

I umped for 20+ years high school and American Legion and wished I could take back every bad call I made. Sometimes you just miss them.
That's what baseball awesome. I've read threads about removing umps from the game by allowing a machine/ camera determine ball and strikes. This will ruin the game if that ever happens because they hitters will have a tremendous advantage.

They just started reviews on plays recently. They do not want to interrupt the game flow. They only review certain calls.

Maybe cut out the, throwing to first base 11 times in an inning. That shite is brutal.

No umps fricking up when you have the ability to correct is not what makes baseball awesome.

Plays at second base are going to be reviewed nearly every time. That's the unfortunate side to replay.

have you ever umped? I bet not. On balls and strikes, that's stupid. Notice I didn't say anything about the bases, foul/fair, etc.
YOU ASSUMED I was against all use of instant replay. What a freaking turd and dumbass.

It is needed if for no other reason, these kids and coaching work too darn hard when an alternative is available to get it right. Baseball is awesome because it always re-invents itself. No reason not to have. Want to speed up the game, 15 seconds between pitches and stop the human rain delays by batters between pitches

I am perfectly fine with leaving umpires in the game just believe certain situations should be allowed to be removed. Balls and strikes is not one of them. A pitcher and hitter figuring out a particular umps zone is part of the game.

Do college like MLB at least at this level. (Iunderstand that some mid week game against southern shouldn't have this). Manager starts the game with one challenge get it right you get another. After the 7th the umpires can challenge.

So maybe we aren't playing today on that no foul call or maybe the first steal of the game is reversed? Those were bad calls.
