What's the consensus here on keeping the A&M/LSU game on Turkey Day weekend?

Did most here want to keep it in that slot or could y'all not really care less either way?

It seems that TexAgs leans more heavily on keeping it where it is. I just wanted to see what the thoughts were across the river.

The consensus is that you can play that with Texas again and also that Woodward is fat

Most LSU fans I know do not care IF we play the Aggies much less when. But LSU is NOT going to play anyone on Thanksgiving Day/Night.

I don’t think most LSU fans would mind ceding that to weekend to Texas, yalls true rival. I’d much rather play arkansas for the boot that weekend but alas I’m biased cuz I was born and raised in arkansas and so that’s always been probs a more meaningful rivalry to me than most LSU rivals

The consensus is that y’all can go back to playing t.u. on Thanksgiving. It’s one of your traditions that I think is actually cool.

Nobody here cares what time of year we play anyone. It just doesn’t matter. It’s fun to watch other schools play their traditional rivals on that last weekend of the season. But since our traditional rival is a little punk CUSA (or AAC or whatever) team now, we get stuck with whoever the SEC decides we should play. Whether that happens to be Tamu, Arkansas, Tulane, or whoever, nobody cares. It just means less.

I'd rather play Arkansas as the last game. A&M always played Texas either Thanksgiving night or that weekend. Y'all can do that again once Texas joins the SEC.

I truly could not be bothered on giving the slightest of shite about when that game is played. Pick a date to be brutalized and we’ll show up.

Don't care when. If they have to be one of our 3 permanents, I like them as an early season test like it was in the 80s.

ETA-I prefer Arkansas or Ole Miss as a late season rival. Arkansas was a tradition for a while, and it worked.

I would like Texas A&M vs LSU to be either the first or second game of the year. Would make the rivalry more intriguing

LSU/A&M isn’t a rivalry to us so it doesn’t matter when we play y’all

I don’t think we should be playing y’all at all. There’s no benefit to LSU.

The consensus is that the Astrogliders will be taking it dry from Texas on Thanksgiving/TG weekend, so LSU will not be available.

The SEC will most likely have the Tigers playing Arkansas on that final weekend.

But Hey SEC Office/ESPN, don't even think about putting the game in that god awful Friday afternoon time slot. Keep it on Saturday Night.

I had thoughts of LSU closing out against Oklahoma, but remembered they got Oklahoma State to close.

The historical "Old School" in me would like to see Tulane continue to improve and be the closer. That rivalry used to be as intense as Bama-Auburn and Ole Miss-State. Hard to believe, but it's true........

As a Texas Tiger, I miss the UT/T5&7 rivalry.

As an LSU grad married to a Tech gal, frick T5&7. Seriously. I get the mutual hate for UT, but y’all have the same little brother energy over the red headed stepchild.

Especially since that's when it was traditionally played as a non conference game back when we played a lot when Aggie was still in the SWC. Also I really like the A&M/Texas rivalry and was kind of sad that ended. Would be cool to see that return on Thanksgiving and have the Battle for the Boot back on Black Friday for us.

Texas-Tamu will be the rivalry week game.

LSU-Tamu will be the opening SEC game each year for the two teams.

ABSOLUTELY NO. Arky / LSU the day after like the old days. Screw hunting BS. If you love LSU football and having fun, those were the best!

Let A&M resume their Turkey day game vs. Texas Longhorns.

It’s not my preference. The Arkansas game there was more of a rivalry. I think it helps the A&M program get creds more than it does us. If they win it’s a big deal. If we do…..meh.
