I believe the correct use of the term is "man shaker"

Not as loud as us. Generally decent folks, with a few assholes like everywhere. Nice stadium.

If you're sitting amongst them, instead of LSU fans don't drunkenly yell this when they start shaking their pom poms

They don't like that.

If one is behind you they'll shake their girly pom pom in your face. Got into it with a barner about that a few years ago.

Was there for the game of the century. Wasn't as loud as I expected but still a good experience. frick the video of the strength and conditioning coach yelling on 3rd downs. That got old with the quickness

lot of grown men with white facial hair will yell at you and lots of pom poms. stadium is probably 2nd coolest behind TS. If they play Dixie land delight thats pretty cool to see its like our callin baton rouge

Tailgating outside the stadium is just as good as anywhere in the SEC, but once inside it's really not like any other school in terms of atmosphere.

Not loud because the pom poms just make a swooshing noise as opposed to fans just clapping.

The cheerleader/PA guy trying to hype the crowd is very similar to an NFL game.

As others have said, fans are very tentative and then turn hostile with the quickness.

Stadium itself is very nice.

I have been to the last two LSU games there and in all seriousness the experience is fantastic. In addition, the crowd stays to the end of the game.

However, this certainly does not in anyway take away from the best venue in the SEC...Tiger Stadium!

You will enjoy it and the LSU victory!

I went in 2005, 2007, and 2011. Each one was less electric than the one before.

2011 wasnt really loud, it was just tense.

If I had to guess, the 4th quarter of the 2013 game was probably the wildest an LSU game @Bama has been in a long time.

I'd say they are more on edge than "aggressive."

However, your second point is on the money. The only more humorless fanbase I've ever encountered are the Oklahoma Sooners. Bama is actually not quite as bad as them, but they pretty much lack any humor at all.

Nothing like death valley. They are boring gumps and will be silent if/when LSU is winning.

When State was #1 and played #5 Bama in BDS, it was one of the loudest games I've ever been too. It's definitely on the level of TS. You'll enjoy it. The stadium really towers over you. Makes you feel really small. Great place to watch a game. Looking forward to this one, you'll have a great time

Disagree with the comment about it being as loud as Death Valley. Jordan Hare is a much more intimidating venue than Bryant- Denney.
