His resume isn't as bad as you are implying. His resume says he has worked for many great head coaches. Lane Kiffen has some bad stuff on his resume. You probably thought Saban shouldn't have hired him.
Come the frick on. Seriously.

Lane Kiffin is a locker room killer and bad HC... he's had nothing but success as an OC.

Steele has had nothing but failure as a DC... along with his failure as HC.

Just because you want to make up your own story doesn't make it true.

I can't bring myself to see this hire as a reason to celebrate LSU being bad enough the next few years to fire Miles.

So, I guess for me it's easier to hope for the best and be disappointed later.

He's probably a good position coach and recruiter, but he's failed as a coordinator and head coach. Yes, his resume as a coordinator and HC sucks.

Mark... Is that you?

No, but I'll throw you a bone. I liked his response after the "miracle" at Baylor and how he has handled adversity (coached last 3 games after being fired). Shows signs of high character, IMO. And the Carolina Panthers were awesome for an expansion team under him, albeit as linebackers coach.
