Was yesterday the start of the demise or can the escape be used as a wake up call?

For the players, I think with the meeting this morning and the way a few stepped up yesterday this is their turn around. They will rally behind Lee and Ridley. For the coaches, hell who knows at this point.

Explode. Lee plus good run game will compliment the D. Get focused and eliminate turnovers and penalties.

Why does an our team need a wake up call after every game nearly half way through the season??

im actually really optimistic about it. anyone of sound mind now has to admit our coaching ineptitude and demand change. Then again, there's still sunshine pumpers out there and there's absolutely NO guarantee anything will change by next week.

Neither would surprise me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Wake up call.

I like that Kelvin Sheppard called a players-only meeting today. Some things can't be addressed as a player but on the field-performance like penalties can. In addition, Lee earned himself the starting position. Obviously JJ will be used now in running situations although I think RS is better suited for that..

Since I root for the Tigers, I'm hoping they come out blazing after this.

There are things to take from this game which are good signs:
Lee made clutch passes
Toliver is getting the ball from Lee, and is making the catches
Defense held when they absolutely had to.

gonna guess that the player meeting will be a positive, when all is said and done.

Might finally see the end of the spread offense as we've known it for the last 2 yrs, and a return to the pro style attack we once had

Honestly, since they lucked out and won AND found an actual passing attack to go with their running attack, it could be a kick off point.

Also, I really believe the following to be true.

I think Crowton is a fired man walking and that Miles is more and more taking the reigns.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But Miles is an idiot". And, he is. BUT, he is just what the doctor ordered for this offense because Crowton is one stubborn bitch who INSISTS on getting cute and seems to bore of successful 5 yard runs.

Now, if only we can hire a 12 year old to watch the clock.

Anyone still holding out hope that this team has a chance next week severely underestimates two things.

One is the mental state of this team. Every player is having to deal with family and friends asking WTF. Not just about this game or the season, either.

The other is that our opponent actually has a coach who is capable, and can prepare his team to take advantage of our shortcomings. Meyer could beat Miles in Tiger Stadium using his 2nd team offense on defense, with one week to prepare.

I'm not saying Meyer is THAT good, I'm saying Miles is THAT bad.

Your points after this comment are legitimate, but nonetheless anyone that thinks LSU doesn't have "a chance" at Florida is an idiot.

Your reply to me is about as relevant as explaining the concept of infinity.

Let's try to keep the discussion practical, or would you rather look into possibilities of aliens landing on the field during the game next week?

Bump. I will hope you are pleasantly surprised rather than pissed you were wrong.
