Still excited though. And on one hand, the offense can only improve.
But college ball and pro ball are worlds apart. I still find it funny that certain people get all mad because les might have input on the play calling.

You can't stop it. You can not stop it.

I agree with everything you said. And don't get me wrong, I think the offense will definitely improve. I am just throwing a little objectivness in there. You never know.
The biggest thing is mett having a year under his belt and the relationship he has with his returning wr's.

Right.. as speculative as it may be, it can't be much worse than it was.. so that's the main cause for excitement.

No more toss dive or at least see it minimally. From Cam's mouth himself, i heard him say that you cannot have an effective playaction passing game off of it.
I also think he will do better making in game adjustments.
Should be more prepared to play against the 3-4. He prepared for it often when with Chargers & Ravens.

This is the same logic that had me so optimistic for 2012.

LSU scored big in 2011 depending mostly on its ground game, that is until they played a legit top rated D in Alabama who never respected LSU's passing game and loaded up to stop the run. Cam's gonna give Alabama a reason to respect LSU's passing game more, that will make LSU less predictable not LES predictable.

Oh, no doubt.
I wasn't taking you as a nega-tiger or anything.
I was just giving input on why i think it will be different.
I don't expect some circus offense that rewrites college records. Just a very well run, efficient one.

All that has to improve is; execution, play calling.
That's really it. I would like to see more stuff over the middle, but that is not necessary. If you can run anything to perfection (doesn't really matter what it is) with our athletes, it really can't be stopped.

Legit recievers in Durel, Leslie, Landry, and Gordon (TE). Mett is one year better. Better play calling and execution with Cam. Bigger badder o-line. Blue is healthy and now Hill is back with Copeland leading the way.

The biggest thing is mett having a
seven second clock in his head when he drops back. If Cam can't fix this, it doesn't matter what play he calls. Or if Miles approves.

Tall, deep threat (Travin Durall, Q. leslie) { remember what Reuben Randle was able to do with bad QBs}
Better execution (Cam is a true, proven OC)
Better QB play (Zach is more experienced, Cam is a true QB coach)
Better OL (ASSUMING injury bug does not hit because last years squad is back and a couple talented new guys)
Better Red Zone execution (DeSean Smith at TE will be BEASTLY and Cam being a TE friendly OC)
Hill, Blue, and Hilliard are back with Eugene and Brazil behind them. Our RBs should have absolutely no dropoff and maybe some improvement. Blue is legit as frick
This and I made edits in bold  :geauxtigers:

Like I said, playcalling will improve as the offensive line play does. The more we can rely on the 5 OL alone to protect Mett, the more creative we can get with our skill players.

We won't get worse.
You don't return the entire offensive squad, add big WRs and a proven OC, and get worse.
We will get better, I'd bet the farm on it. How much better remains to be seen.

Don't expect a big change.

Lets hope the receivers catch better this year. I honestly think, that all last year, they were in shock when the ball got thrown their way. Passing game was almost new to them.
Imagine running routes all game for nothing. How tiresome that would be. With JJ and JL we would throw the ball 15 times a game at MOST. Last year, that number went way up. If the receivers would've done better, metts stats would have actually been really good.
I've never seen so man dropped balls by a LSU team in my life. They got it together towards the end though, which proves my point.

No kidding.. that was the most frustrating season I've ever seen (in terms of injuries). I had never seen so many key players go down with major injuries.. it was unprecedented.

If Mett is going to get hit on a max protect like last year, they may as well try 5 WR. Fool them into dropping 8.
