I know CAm is here and I am excited about his experience and he clearly should be a better coach than what we have had...but schematic wise, personnel wise, etc...what will be different?

Tall, deep threat (Travin Durall, Q. leslie) { remember what Reuben Randle was able to do with bad QBs}

Better execution (Cam is a true, proven OC)

Better QB play (Zach is more experienced, Cam is a true QB coach)

Better OL (ASSUMING injury bug does not hit)

Better Red Zone execution (DeSean Smith at TE will be BEASTLY and Cam being a TE friendly OC)

Coach Miles is finally going to have some input into the play-calling.

Don't be surprised if we come close to this. 2011 we dropped 40 on just about everyone.

I think we will see the field open up some with more passes to our HB's. Hopefully it won't be so easy to tell passing downs from running downs. If we can get more balanced between the ability to move the ball with either run or pass this team can be dangerous.

My biggest hope is to consistently use a TE in the receiving game.

Improved offensive line play will allow for a more extensive route tree. In turn, defenses will back off, allowing Mett to flourish in the passing game.

The amount of injuries our offensive line sustained last year was detrimental for the offensive output. It dumbed down our route patterns because we had to call for max protection to help the young OL.

I was fairly surprised to see the report that stated Les is going to have the final say on any plays coming in. Wondering if he's really going to be saying yes/no to each call, or if it'll be more of a "hey that play call sucks try again" if he really doesn't like it. Seems like he'd be giving a guy like Cam a hefty amount of autonomy in calling the Os.

We shall see. I remember how excited florida fans were when Weiss was given the OC job. We just don't know how he'll do in college.

Well, of course.

But, Cam has been successful in college before, and at multiple stops in the NFL.

And, even if ALL he does is devise a consistent, well developed play calling plan, LSU will improve on offense.

And, even a small improvement would mean a LOT. In the losses last season, just a minor improvement in offensive efficient would mean Ws
