He's young and is from Baton Rouge. Not sure he's earned the rep to get in a power struggle with Miles if it comes down to it, though. I haven't followed his coaching career since he left UT/Rice. Is he highly thought of?

Get Theriot to recruit him here. I'd love him as OC.

How is this guy only 37? Seems like he's been around fricking forever.

I don't think it will matter. We will see the same offense. It doesn't matter who the OC is unfortunately

OK, one last time for those who still don't get it. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO THE OC IS. AS LONG AS MILES IS COACH, THE OFFENSE WILL BE DEPLORABLE. This is what you Miles supporters wanted, so deal with it and enjoy it. God Bless

Wasn't Dooley's offense a failure at Tennessee?

Haven't heard much about him in some time. But he is the OC at Houston.

Didn't he have an affair with a student trainer at UT though?

But he's been a Bama homer his whole life. His father instilled in him a love of all things Gump from the day he was born. He is named after Alabama running back Major Ogilvie. He was actually on staff at Bama in 2007 as OC.

frick.

THAT.

shite.

Why would he come here knowing there is a good chance Les is gone after next year?

I'm not sure I'd love the hire but I could see coming here if he thinks that would get his foot in the door as to when Miles retires

A Baton Rouge boy with huge ties to Texas. Sign me up.

Dale Weiner finally made it back to the dome. I'm sure we can find a spot on the staff for him.

Nah. He didn't last but one year as OC und Saban at Bama and then a few years as co-OC at Texas and they weren't good.
