For those that went to Omaha THIS year, what was getting tickets in Omaha like? For future reference should someone buy tickets for every single game to the CWS when they go on sale in April for something like 8 bucks apiece? Then just try to sell the ones they do not need later? Or is it better to just make the trip with no tickets in hand and get tickets after you are there?

Are they really only $8 in April?

If so, that is definitely what you should do because you'd 100% make money for every game you don't attend.

It wasnt easy, and pretty much buying thru 3rd party sites like ticketmaster and stubhub. Thats at least for the first 3 lsu games in omaha. The first game was the most expensive by far. Cant speak for the later games in the cws, id assume the tickets were cheaper

I’m afraid to look at what we ended up paying for tickets. I figure it averaged $150 per game. Wasn’t good, but worth it.

Same, family of 3 and we went to all 3 championship series games.

I'm not even going to look at what the autopay for my credit card bill is this month.

Paid about $220 per ticket for game 2 if Florida series and then $300 per ticket for game 3 (purchased from seats mid-game 2). Tickets were disappearing quickly with each Gator bomb.

There really aren’t any bad seats in the stadium though.

I thought about buying some for Game 2 against Florida. You could get in for around $100/ea

Did anyone have any luck buying tickets in person around the stadium?

Super easy. We bought game 3 finals off secondary market around the 6 or 7 inning of game 2.

I didn’t try the other scenario. Seems like a pain in the arse if your team doesn’t make it.

My friends go every year, great seats. They offered me tickets back months ago. I think they were some of the best, in the covered section on the 1st base side. My cost per ticket was $55. What I didn’t use we sold on the market. We would pick the games we wanted sell the rest. One game their friends asked to buy my ticket. I got an ticket in the outfield, for $28. But was still able to sit with them. The last game with Florida, I got another friend a ticket with us for $55, the guy next to us, his wife couldn’t make it, offered me the ticket.
My friends said that the tickets are mine every year if I want them, they think I’m good luck, please don’t tell them anything different!
I had hotel points, around 54,000 so I used them, got to be friends with the hotel manager, my last night he charged me $75 for the room.
I was there 12 days, spent a lot less than most folks. Well worth the trip.

If you can get tickets for $8, buy them all.

Here is the CWS ticket page with prices for tickets in April:

Got in line before champ series games 1 and 2 and got SROs after 1hr. $45 each. Found some open seats and squatted for most of both games. Then got chased and stood either under board in RF or in concourse behind 1B dugout. Either way was great time.

3rd game prices were down to $90 each in RF. Bought those seats to have but stood in concourse most of game in shade with breeze.

Will likely do again in future.

Extremely easy through third party sites. Just wait a couple of hours before start time. You’ll pay premium $ for purchasing tickets the day before. Closer to start time, you can get in for $30-40. (yes, for the final series)

Avoid left field if you don’t want to be in the sun.

I went ahead and looked. We averaged $172.90 a ticket for the 8 games. Max of $310.45, min of $45. The $45 tickets were through LSU. The rest were through Ticketmaster and we sat somewhere from 1st to 3rd.

Thats for all games?

If so that's a very good deal. My cousin has an in with a major sponsor (she lives in Omaha) so I have never actually bought tickets.

I met a few fans that buy tickets from locals every December for the upcoming season. I’m not sure of the pricing.
I was able to get tickets to non lsu games for a pretty decent price.
All the lsu tickets or basically all the games lsu played in were about $100 more than the same ticket for non lsu games.
I sat in the outfield for first lsu game and then basically sat down first base line for the rest of lsu games.
I got tired of paying Ticketmaster fees but it’s part of the situation

We purchased on stubhub for game one of Florida LSU series 1 hour before game started and didn't get the tickets emailed until two hours later. Stubhub did reimburse me. This is first time StubHub failed me ever....

Game 2: purchased from a couple selling at gate and just walked in with them. $100 a ticket.

Game 3: Bought from stubhub that morning for $250 a ticket. Seats were behind LSU dugout. Great seats for great game!

Reading this thread makes me miss the old GA ticket books you could buy.

Bought both my tickets (final series games 2-3) hours before the game on StubHub.

Depending on where you want to sit, the prices varied.

Plenty of tickets available at all times from what I experienced.

I had amazing seats both games. Not cheap though.
