re: What record in Football would you label as a "disappointment" for 2013?

quote:The problem with Driskel was indecisiveness and inability of any of UF's wide receivers to become a #1 target. I think that changes this year for UF. Also it's not like I'm saying UF is going to win by three td's. I'm just giving them the slight edge as of right now.
Who's playing QB for Florida again?
quote:Are you talking about our defensive? Because as far as I know our front four is still fairly questionable at this point [excluding Freak].
hat could realistically be a loss because Murray is elite and experienced and they have home field, but we have experience as well
quote:First SEC road game of the year. I expect a few mistakes and some players to play tight. Again, as of right now I give UGA a slight edge because of the experience at QB,Two headed running game & first away game situation of the year.
(Marshall and Gurley are great, but we are way more talented at WR), D-line, linebackers, secondary, and we have more quality depth than them.

Let's go ahead and say ditto about UGA's defense. They lose their starting DT (Jenkins), all three starting linebackers (Jones, Ogletree, Washington), both starting safeties (Rambo, Williams) and a starting CB (Commings). Now, youre gonna tell me they will have success stopping our running game with the elite O-line we will trot out there?

nonsense bro, we're the only team that got wiped out by the draft.

8-4 is unacceptable, anything better than 9-3 with this schedule is a success.

10-3 would be disappointing

This is what I'm trying to psychologically prepare myself for.

What about just getting by questionable teams? When LSU struggled with Auburn I had a feeling that it would be a rough seasons.
I want LSU to have that killer instinct this year, and have teams put away in the 3rd quarter.

Yet, somehow we finished one defensive stop short of winning the West and playing in SEC CG...it's strange how so many people forget this...

8-4 or worse would be a dissapointment.

No" excuse for losing more than 2? Are you nuts?!?! Our schedule is brutal and we lost a pantload of starters on defense. Just because we're LSU doesn't mean we're entitled to win tough games. We have to earn them, and our schedule this year is packed with elite teams and some other very good teams. You can't just wish your way to a 10-2 season.
do you not remember 2011? The same thing was said about the brutality of the schedule and people we lost.
2011
On Defense Baker and Minter were our only worthwhile backers. Montgomery and Mingo were freshman. Brockers was the only legit defensive line starter but still semi proven. Our secondary was the only good point about our defense.
On offense we had Lestudthorpe and Jarret Lee. Ware was our only semi proven back and Randle was our only proven wideout.
2013
On defense we have a whole secondary with a year's worth of practice with experienced depth. We have two legit starters at each OLB position as well as a good one that can move inside. We also have experienced depth right behind them. Our defensive line is similar with 2 semi proven players in Freak and Ego.
On offense we have Cam Cameron, a proven OC at the NFL level, and a QB with a year under his belt(I'd say the QBs are about even). Three very proven running backs in Hill, Blue and Hilliard and an experienced fourth in Magee. Also the fourth fastest player in the nation based on official track times in Jeryl Brazil. Three legit WRs in Landry, Beckham and Boone with a 6'4 200lb 4.4 40 junior JUCO by the last name Leslie, who will without a doubt be our down field threat.
Dude, I'd say we are looking pretty fricking good right now. All you naysayers better wake the frick up, I can feel it. It's gonna happen again.

I haven't forgotten. It wasn't a bad team. They struggled with injuries and focus. They had the talent to play with anyone, but lacked the focus at times to let teams like Towson give them trouble.

I hate to say this, but I hope CLM doesn't screw things up.

-I can see Vandy beating one of the big three from the East.
-TAMU stock will drop this season and it wouldn't shock me if they lose three or four games . The lose of their OC to TTU & the fact that their interior Dline is inexperience is why I'm not high on them. *
