Dont respond to me, dick. I didnt mention our abortion that was the 2011 QB situation. I simply wanted to know what people were most excited about with our new QB.

So you dont think you can look at his year in JUCO, the few times he has gotten in at LSU, all the Spring games and scrimmages we have seen him in, and take an educated deduction that he will step into the pocket to throw the ball? I mean its not like the dude has never taken a snap in a game.

I just hope he is allowed to make the plays we think he can.

This. Will Miles take the training wheels off the offense and attack opposing defenses through the air as well as on the ground?

I and many others have never seen games of him in JUCO. Highlights are just that...highlights.

He looked great...very small sampling though.

Do you think not being able to be hit doesn't make a difference?

He has never taken a meaningful snap in an SEC game. Never has been playing in an away game against 90,000 opposing fans with the pressure on him to lead his team down the field for a score.

Just from everything I've read and the highlights I've seen, he seems to just be the complete QB package. His talent is not in question, but he's got that moxy that you want in your QB. He's confident, and seems to relish the position he's in. He's not scared of the pressure that comes with being the starting QB. He's at least saying all the right things you want a real leader on your team to say.

We all hope that Miles learned his lesson that night, but you never know.

Several of my non-LSU fan friends are always telling me that we have an embarrassment of riches, due to the great talent we seem to have year in and year out. They said that nobody disputes the talent we have; the weak link is the coaching. It seems sometimes that we have so many talented guys that our coaches don't know how to best utilize their skills.

And I would still put $1,000 on the table that he is going to be better, help LSU win more than the other two guys. LSU didn't need a great QB last year until 1/9.
