How many games have the "other two" won for LSU?

I wouldn't say the other two won many games, it's more like they did enough to not lose the games. We won games by having one of the best defenses in the country. Timely kick off returns were big for us, also. WV, Arkansas, Georgia.

Not turning the ball over played a factor in winning games also. QB's touch the ball on every down.

I like the way he carries himself in interviews. Always a cool character

Personally, I'm not going to acknowledge a stat based off a qb turnovers when the qb was afraid to make a play. holding onto the ball too long to be sacked, throwing the ball away when there are open receivers. I'm not impressed by that. No, I did not contribute greatness to the LSU football team. Just stating my opinion. The center touches the ball every play too...just saying.

I can't wait to see him play. I think he has all the tools. I just hope he is allowed to make the plays we think he can.

It was point counterpoint. You say we won games b/c of our great defense. Plenty of teams win b/c one side of the ball is greater than the other. LSU played to its strength and one way to do that is not to turn the ball over. QB's are part of that.

I like the swagger he has, combined with the talent to back it up. It's been a long time since we've had a QB like that, perhaps J.Booty for lack of any other names. Booty did not have this level of talent when he got to LSU, but he did have some swag. Jamarcus...mabe??

I do agree we were way better off without 2 pick 6's a game.. It's just hard for me to say that they won games for us. our qb is not what made us great last year. We could have been one of the greatest teams college has ever seen if we just had a qb that knew the offense well enough, and could execute reading a defense. Our qb put us in way more holes, than he dug us out of. I'm not saying a qb doesnt have some contribution, but to call someone out as if to say I'd like to see you do better... come on man. Our running game was our offense, not our passing game.

I just think we played to not allow our QB's to lose a game. Which was smart. I know we have a very talented QB this year but don't be surprised if we still play it safew and try to win with running game, defense and ST.

I agree that it was smart for us to play that way with what we had. I'm just excited to have the option now with Mett to be more aggressive.

LSU probably could have won 12-13 games with Spencer Ware playing QB last year, I think the new guy has a change to "win" some games for us and have much more confidence in him already

Wow, everyone is commenting as if we are halfway into the season and he has actually done something. I'm as hopeful as anyone, but Mett hasn't done anything at LSU yet to comment on.

Those who have seen him up close, and in action including Les Miles seem to think he has abilities the other two guys didn't have.

Me too. I really hope we attack defense more vertically. I can't imagine how much more dominant that would make our running game.
