Muschamp lately has been enamored with the spread, when not all of the personnel was a good fit for it. That would explain his latest OC hire. They have one WR that would fit well in a spread scheme, when the rest of the guys seemed to better fit in a more traditional offense. Having an incompetent QB complicated things further.

OK 4 of miles 10 years at LSU he had decent QB play. 5 if you want to count 2011.

Which leaves him with a record of 59-19 with subpar quarterbacks. Or the majority of his wins.

I guess my players don't like him assumption comes from his attitude mainly. Nobody likes a dick(Saban type) attitude if you aren't winning. I saw a weird interaction with a player this week. Fans were pissed he didn't show concern for their injured player in our game. Just doesn't come across as a guy. Works fine if you win though.

I mean I kind of agree with you. The showing of support from his players actually kind of surprised me.

Muschamp came in and didn't really have a solid plan for the offense. He hired Weiss and the SEC football gods punished him greatly.

I don't know how Saban has avoided their wrath with his hiring of Kiffin. Maybe because he pretty much stuck a sock in his fat mouth.

That may be true, but both are still getting paid and getting paid is the key. Along with Muschamp will soon be getting paid by two employers!!

miles is a more experienced HC. muschamp, a damn good DC (at least his resume' said so), struggled with the position of HC. the HC doesn't coach much. do you think bear Bryant coached? it is possible muschamp has learned what he doesn't know; failure is the best teacher life has to offer; that is, if one is smart enough and has an agreeable ego to realize it.

hell, a HC has to keep booster, donors, ex-players, the admin. etc happy. then deal with the media constantly. not to mention being the "den mother" for about a 100 teen agers. most of which are aggressive and risk takers by nature.

miles is one of the few HC's of a major school that actually seems to enjoy his job.

And the thing is, Muschamp has had top notch talent at QB.

#4 pro style Brantley
#3 pro style Brissett
#1 dual threat Driskel
#2 pro style Grier

These guys have been freaking loaded at QB but can't develop the talent.

We haven't gotten talent near what they have at the position.
