what is the difference in Muschamp and Miles?

Obviously Miles has had much more success and this is by no means meant to be a flame thread or even a negative thread towards miles.
But they both have very similar philosophies. Both rely on strong defenses while running low scoring run oriented offenses. Both have also not exactly been blessed with above par quarter back play.
So what is it about Miles that allows his teams to get the wins, while in a tougher division mind you, when Muschamp could not?

One has a job. The other doesn't.

Miles isn't an a-hole. This translates to more recruits wanting to play for him and a better enviroment for players to grow in. They would run through a brick wall for Miles. Watching sideline interaction with Muschamp, his players don't seem to care from him.

Miles knows how to win without a QB
Muschamp let Driskel cost him his job.

Reading keeps you from looking like a dumbass. Try it sometime

I don't think the players hated Muschamp.
He inherited some discipline issues from the get go from meyer.
I think the defensive players respected him but he tried to be Saban on the sidelines without the results and the way he went after officials didn't help him either

Miles won a National Championship in his 3rd year at LSU. Had Muschamp won a NC in his 3rd year at Florida he would still have a job.

Miles may not be an offensive guru, but he does know what a talented offensive skill player looks like. Muschamp hasn't even recruited an offense, if not actually run one.

While I agree with this 100%. Its obvious our guys love Les to death

I'm not sure about this. There seemed to be an outpouring of support for muschamp following his firing by his player at Florida on twitter.
Maybe it was just for show though idk

Stop there.

Muschamp didn't inherit the best of situations (not the worst either) and he compounded it with two dud OC hires (Weis and the Boise guy). Also, his QB situation has been terrible - Brantley getting hurt, Jacoby leaving, Driskel flopping, getting hurt, and returning to flop some more.
That said, weren't they also 4-4 in the SEC this yr?

Muschamp is incapable of winning a NC. Les is not. Why that is is the question.

Miles has the want.

We also beat them with the worst team we've had since 2008. And the worst QB play I think I've ever seen from LSU

they were, but Miles also didn't go 4-8 last season. When you follow up a 4-8 season with a 6-5 season, you can't expect to keep your job at a place like Florida

LSU has averaged over 35 points per game 2 of the last 4 years. If WM did that, he would probably still have a job.

One is a great coach the other is a good coordinator.
