This is mostly a function of the personnel he has to work with, particularly the QB position. I mean, they have Kyle Allen. Last year he had a 62% completion record with 17 TDs and 16 ints. That's not winning football.

Can Joe Brady's offensive scheme and game time play calling help Kyle Allen's performance? Sure. The question is, to what degree? IMO the improvement that Joe Burrow showed from last year to this year won't be touched by Kyle Allen. Why? Burrow went from running a traditional "pro-style" college offense to a spread offense with NFL concepts. That was a big jump for the LSU offense. Everything Kyle Allen will learn from Joe Brady, 95% of it has already been seen by NFL defenses. If Kyle Allen improves it won't be by much due to scheme. Kyle Allen will improve more if the personnel around him improves with Brady's scheme.

What’s wrong with what he said? Maybe their WRs are average and not probably below average?

Brady obviously learned a lot from Coach Payton. I think he'll do fine in the NFL.

Right around zero chance Brady flops in the NFL.

1) He is extremely bright and an expert in his offense.
2) He works like a dog (and loves the hard work)
3) His players enjoy his practice style, intensity, and methods
4) They can't F'n stop it!

And what if he is, what do you think that means? You think if he flops at Carolina he’ll be out of coaching by 35?

It means he moved too far too fast. Some recover from that. Some don't.

I have to doubt he will be a flop. The NFL game is changing more to RPO with the current incoming QBs. His success on the field will depend on who is under center. Will they be able to execute the schemes? After two seasons with Peyton, he should be ready for the job.

Ends up getting fired as coordinator and doesn't get another opportunity for 5-10 years.

Listen.

Let me start by saying that I think Brady is a great young mind in football. He has obviously been groomed well and compliments that with a strong work ethic! His impact was palpable due to the antiquated system that he helped get rid of.

BUT the old adage of “it’s not the Z’s and the O’s, it’s the Jimmys and the Joes”

This system would not have been this record setting without Joe Burrow and cast. Yes I do agree that the system fit the QB, but I believe that the QB made the system.

Brady had a hand it operating this offense with a Generational talent behind one of the best offensive lines in the nation throwing balls to the best offensive weapons in the country.

It will be interesting to see how his system works when the talent is more evenly dispersed in the pros.

With that being said, he will be able to solely focus on calling Plays and not have to worry about exterior factors like recruiting.

My bets are on him being successful.
Dude has Christian McCaffrey in his arsenal.

You say that like it’s beyond possible for Allen to improve. Did you see Burrow’s #’s in 2018, before Brady? But even if you don’t think Allen can’t get better they can get another QB. It’s not like the roster they have the day he is hired is the roster they will have for his entire tenure.

I think Brady got very lucky. He had a quarterback who blew up into a superstar. It’s all about the quarterback. I hope Brady has someone who can put the ball in the receivers hands 76% of the time.

Says who? Fans of the team he just left? No possible bias there

And what does that mean? You think if he flops in Carolina he’ll be selling insurance but 35? Come on, worst case if he gets fired in Carolina he could for back to college or be a position coach.

You guys just sound bitter because he left.

I'd say anyone is able to completely flop in the NFL. There are things WAY beyond your control as a coach or coordinator and every weakness exposed. Parity in the NFL is a real thing which is why you'll see a 4-7 team whip up on a 9-2 team sometimes. It's very much the point of the spear and there is not much patience to new coaches or coordinators who go to a team that expects to be in the race.

Even the best coaches at the top of their games end up being fired. I appreciate what he did for us when he was here and I wish him the best. Maybe if it doesn't work out for him there he'll come back home to us. I sure hope so.

I hope Brady is wildly successful beyond his dreams.
That being said, I think Carolina is taking a huge gamble. Making him OC is nearly baseless.

Brady had to take this job. Several million a year guaranteed for several years. Wow.

My advise to him is to invest well and live frugally until he establishes himself in the NFL.
If it works out great. If not kick back in a nice beachfront home and never work again.
Thanks Tigers and Carolina chumps!
