I'm thinking it's higher than most assume.

I don't think he's ever been involved in the running game. He's never been completely responsible from a coordinator standpoint. He has a green HC. He's got QB problems. His WRs are probably below average. And, of course, NFL defensive schemes are extremely good (as good as can be given the rules) at defending the passing game.

I really thought Brady was taylor made for the college game. I'm interested in seeing how he does in the NFL. If he does well, I'm pretty sure he'll be viewed as a prodigy and will be a head coach in very short order.

Seeing as people flop in the nfl far more than they truly succeed I’ll say it’s high.

What do you consider flop?

Brady could be better in the nfl than he was here and be statistically worse.

I hope he kills it and I love the guy for what he did here but I am nervous he is not quite ready for the NFL OC role.

Well, it's going to be hard to tell immediately at Carolina given their entire current offense is one crackerback.

If he is legit then he'll be alright.

If he was a fraud then his stock was as high as it was ever going to get with Burrow.

Either way this was the time for him to make the jump.

I think he'll be alright. He coached under Sean and with Drew Brees, so he's seen up close how an NFL offense operates and he was able to elevate a college team to new levels with that knowledge. He might have some growing pains, but Carolina should be willing to give him and Rhule at least 3 years before they start to really worry.

I can see this happening. Hopefully, he doesn't end up coaching for an SEC West rival after it doesn't work out in the NFL

The NFL is tough, I wish Brady all the best but you can be dealt the wrong cards sometimes and there's nothing you can really do.

Scapegoats are something that happen really quick in the NFL so I hope his offense does something positive the first few years he's there.

In the end he just didnt want to be a college coach, heard the Geaux 247 podcast from last night and they were talking with Brady throughout the season and he just hated the recruiting grind. There's never any time off. NFL teams get a lot of time off by comparison.

Hey dude. Don't do this. He helped bring us a fricking National Championship and you're over here saying he's gonna fail in the NFL.

I wish him the best. I can only imagine Coach Payton's level of enthusiasm. Not sure about the rest of the schedule, but 2 weeks a year I wouldn't want to be the Panthers.

Do we know how much money he is making? I saw people speculate maybe $2M/yr. It sounded like he was making less than $1M/yr in his new LSU deal. He's 30 years old and already and NFL OC. He doesn't get this opportunity next year if LSU goes 9-3.

I don't see how he passes up this opportunity. If the Panthers look average, he has NFL OC on his resume. He would be considered for multiple major jobs (including LSU) in the future.

If he were my son, I'd tell him this is too good of an opportunity at this point in his career to pass up. Keep good relationships with everyone and don't burn any bridges. It looks like Brady is doing just that.

I think he'll do well. He is driven and very sharp.

I disagree he'll jump to HC as quickly as his current rise, though. Based on his interviews, he seems many years away from wanting to deal with all the publicity and "other" a HC has to deal with.

Imagine typing out this post when you know literally nothing about the Panthers.

He's already been in the NFL.

I think he’ll do “ok” his first year or two, but he is so hungry and driven that he’ll put it all together shortly and become a very respectable NFL coordinator.

NFL is different than CFB so once he finds his vibe he’s going. Just wish he was not in the Saints division!

It is entirely possible that he is not successful in the NFL. At LSU, he had massive talent at QB, IL, RB, and WR along with the tutoring of Coach E managing the Offense and planning.

A big part of his and our successful is all of the above, and he will need great talent to make his plays. I am grateful and impressed by him, but don’t want him to be too successful since I am a Saints fan.
