And the bats and roster sizes have changed a ton, but keep ignoring that. And trust me, duke basketball has years where they arent a top 10 team

Not hard to understand, but we haven't made a serious run since '09, & we're not making one this year for sure, the way Mainieri talks nobody will show up from this year's Signing Class, because all will sign, he needs to make another run at Omaha for the salary he makes.

He makes less than our women's basketball coach, he's actually underpaid IMO

Not for LSU, Mainieri tried to hold Lange & throw Poche', but it exploded on him, '98, was a serious run, '08 was a run 2 & BBQ, or 3 & Pack Your Bags, isn't a run.

Should Coach Dunn shoulder the blame and explain the decline??

The rant is just like the federal government always looking for a scapegoat. We went to Omaha last year, it's a little early to be talking about the decline.

We are not a good baseball team this year, yes it's frustrating but it will be ok. Everyone needs to calm their tits.

Well thats what 2008 was. So the difference in a run or not, is one game?

We should have won in '98 if the wind doesn't change, back to back to back '96, '97 & '98, Bertman & Mainieri have different opinions on how coaching is done, 1 expected to be in Omaha & every coach knew LSU was well prepared, the other allows his pitchers to drown before he pulls them, looks for somebody to blame the loss on & is just happy to get to Omaha, & we don't need to discuss his OOC Schedule.

College basketball and college football success are completely different than college baseball success historically. We were so dominant in baseball in a large part because nobody cared about baseball. People have always cared about football and basketball. You can make the argument that our success in the 90's help bring about the new world of parity in college baseball. We helped make our life harder. Now that college baseball has grown some in popularity you have other powers are emerging.

We possibly win in 2013 if Bregman doesn't commit an error.

He has never said this. He always has high expectations for the program and embraces them.

Although his post is retarded and I'm not coming for his aid, Duke did just win a national championship a little over a year ago

I just have to call you out real quick.

75% of your posts have a negative agenda towards the baseball program.

I'm sorry Paul cut your son, its time to move on.

Move on with your life, but in the meantime keep it up girl.

Why stop there? If Skip gets a pass for a weather change, Mainieri should get a pass for the architecture of the new ball park. That 2013 team easily handles UCLA in Rosenblatt.

#7 (D1 baseball) South Carolina sat home last year after several good years with or without Ray Tanner. They split with #1 Florida 1-1 with the third game rained out last weekend. Were their fans questioning the program? No, they regrouped just as LSU will next year when the team is more experienced. LSU fans are spoiled! THIS year has been enjoyable to me. If you expect to win a CWS or even a super regional every year college baseball will break your heart. It's obvious you don't like Mainieri and if you need an explanation for how the season has gone you know little about baseball in general.

Parity
35 man roster makes a world of difference
If you miss on a prospect like LSU has so far with Trey Dawson you can't replace him midseason
Injuries like Latz, you can't overcome
Players leaving like Godfrey, how big would it be to have him throwing some midweek games as a starter
