There are two types of lsu fans.
1. LSU fans that think JJ was an average qb that had limitations as a passer.
2.lsu fans that think he was the worst starting qb in lsu and sec history and had JLEE started on 1/9 we would've won and bama would've ceased to have a football team and after the game Saban would've slapped Miles and said "Bitch I'm the coach at LSU NOW."and everything wouldn't been right in the world. Saban would be coaching at lsu and would've gotten all the credit for Miles' success (as if that's not the case now) and Miles and JJ would be erased from lsu history and We would be 42-0 since 2011.

Holy wall of text. Serious question. Which member of the Jefferson family are you? We all know about boxcar and Ricksdaddy, you haven't come out yet. There isn't an LSU fan alive that would spend that much time defending a QB that is otherwise generally reviled by neutral fans that got weary of seeing a second string Sun Belt caliber QB starting for an otherwise top tier SEC power. And we will never know if JL could have produced better results in the BCSCG, but it's not debatable that he couldn't have produced less. I just know that other than the second half of 2012 and 2013, the LSU offense looked smoother with JL starting the first half of 2011 than it had since 2006.

you're reaching and trying too hard. The man just gave you a few reasons why a significant part of the fanbase did not like JJ...like it or not, that's the way it is.

Who said anything about his leadership? I just pointed out why so many people didn't like Jefferson. I didn't say I agreed with it. But perception is reality, and Jefferson is perceived as a bit of an arse. Put all the stat lines and comparisons up that you want, but people don't like the guy, regardless of his actual statistical performance.
Mett wasn't a favorite of mine either, but that had more to do with hiw he got to LSU and meeting him at Bogies once or twice.
Quit getting rustled over the fact that Jefferson isn't regarded as a king around LSU. He was an average QB that showed flashes of promise, but he also laid A LOT of eggs on the field. LSU has had worse QBs for sure, but as I said, his on field play is only a part of why he's not liked.

He started just over 2 years worth of games.
5th in career tds
6th in career completion %
5th in passing tds
5th in total yards
1st in single season qb rushing
1st in career qb rushing yards

Im not trying at all because I'm using FACTS. It's clear the coaches felt his leadership and character were good. Why the hell should I value the opinions of posters that have no idea what they are talking about.

What? I've never said JJ is the King of anything. I'm arguing the fact that he did not suck his entire career. Posters earlier in this thread said he sucked his entire career.
IMO JJ isn't a top 8 alltime qb at lsu

Jefferson was the first SEC QB to lose a BCSNCG.
With Jefferson at QB, LSU was the only team shut out in a BCSNCG.
LSU won every game Lee participated in (2011), not so with Jefferson.
