The idea of naming him HC is absolutely absurd. How do we know he is competent at any of the main duties of a head coach like roster management?

His scheme worked perfectly with once in a generation offensive talent. If he was coaching LSU the last two years, people would be wanting him gone by now.

So, offer 8 million a year HC position to a candidate with one year of coaching experience in D-1 college (as passing coordinator), no experience as Head Coach at any level and who does not care for recruiting?
Great idea!

would be consistent with how the LSU AD's office has been conducting business for quite some time

Brady does not want to do recruiting. He would end up costing us, plus he was a NFL guy and wants to be an NFL guy.

Patience the season needs to play out and you need to see who is out there. Most probably from a G5 school. Stay away from anyone who has shaken hands with Saban

No recruiting. Its been said by many. But it came from Hester and I tend to believe Hester on things that would come from him talking to the person.

It comes directly from Brady himself. He’s going to get an NFL HC job in the near future he’s not coming back to college any time soon.

I still don’t get the obsession. He had all that talent in 2019. A monkey could have made them look great. Put him on this team and we don’t look that much different than you see. No running game. OL problems. Avg QB compared to Burrow. 1 WR who can catch.

I agree with this, regarding making him our head coach. No proof he is a winner at the head coach level, which is COMPLETELY different than being a coordinator.

here's where I disagree. Ensminger had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Helaire, the OL, in 2018 and did nothing with it.

Only when Brady arrived in 2019 did that offense explode. So we have to give Brady full credit for unleashing that offensive talent in 2019.

Why would you want a 2nd year OC with no HC experience that hates recruiting to be the head coach? Is it because of the success the 1 year he was here with Burrow, CEH, Jefferson, Chase, Marshall? Just curious. I hope we would go after a proven successful coach with experience running a program. Pretty sure that should be a requirement.

Get a proven guy, like O'Brien, Campbell, Freeze, Cristobal, Fickell, Fleck, Franklin, Kiffin

Any of those would be great. Not sure which of those would come, but they’re all great coaches.

From him. He was a little more diplomatic in the way he phrased it though.

Why on God's green earth would you be willing to do that? The guy was a passing game coordinator for a year and parlayed the press he got off the basis of a decade long bottom tier LSU offense into NFL gig.

I mean shite like "make Joe Brady the highest paid head coach in the nation" is as bad as Coach O stubbornly clinging to "muh Joe Brady offense" as a program direction without even being able to define what Joe Bradys offense is. Yall need to chill, let go of Joe Brady and seek to define a direction for LSU football without blindly trying to recreate 2019.
