I had to Google this shite to figure out what you were talking about.
Paw Points and the 459 Commons didn't exist when I was a student 1993-1998.
To date mysefl, in ~1995 it was brand new technology that students could get an email account. You could sign up for an email account called Tiger. I think it was shortened to Tigr IIRC. You had to go to Middleton and sit at a terminal to check and send emails.
