Cannot believe some one made a video about the int that is all stills to mask the fact the williams never had possession. And to claim Reid tried to keep from hitting the ground, hilarious...

This. But the respect for Saban ain't overblown. He's one of the best to ever walk a college sideline. Makes Les' accomplishments even more impressive - especially when the Tigers beat that Bama arse again.

They see a very good, consistent, no frills, football team. They don't do a lot, but the things they do, they do them well. And I agree with your wording in that they have an 'overblown respect' for Saban.

what they don't see in LSU is the level of consistency. I'm not saying it isn't there, I'm just saying it isn't as obvious...likely because LSU is capable doing so much more. We can show more looks on offense and do many different things. BAMA, can do one thing- give the ball to Richardson and throw 10 passes per game.

They also do not see the hidden yardage in lsu's stats. Our defense gives us a short field many times, so less yardage shows up in the stats. They don't see the hiddee yardage that B Wing gives us in the punting game.

LSU is a more deceptive team, while BAMA is in your face. You know what they're gonna do and you know they're gonna do it well.

Ding, Ding, Ding...We have a winner.

9-6 and this video clearly shows williams is laying on reids legs as reid has the ball in his hands. After all the analyzing the Head Refs agreed the call was correct. However the call of Peterson being out of bounds a few years before was proven incorrect. 9-6

LOL it was was payback . Yes that is a call to talk about , if it had of gone bama 's way the tide would have scored . remember this remember this bama

The question about the rematch is can LSU stop the bama Offense . It will take more tan 3 FG's to win this game . Can JJ be better than he was in the 1st game .

It is hard to win a rematch , that is what everyone sees . Even the bama fans know this . This game will not prove which team is better just which team wants to win more . You know that Bama

Everyone outside of LA seems to think Bama played a poor game on 11/5. What if they played about as good a game as they could have against us?

Absolutely agree om the residual disrespect for miles by some in the media... they had a point last year and in tears prior but this year should've shut everyone up

Some of their stats are better than LSU 's, they have the big name RB, 4-5 1st round projected draft choices..... I think LSU matches up well with them, but the biggest advantage I see is the big play ability of LSU, how many times have we seen it this season... TM7 was part of many of them, but Reid, Mo, our RB's, our DE, our punting team.... all of em have the potential to change the momentum at anytime. Bama can't match that

Well said.......Now you described BAMA's play so well, I kinda of get it. Describe LSU in the same kind of terms as Analyst's see LSU's team.

Two words.

Brand. Recognition.

That is all there is to it. Alabama sells the brand well even if the product is not as good as it is believed to be. Fact.

I believe they think Saban is a far superior coach to Miles -they think Miles was once again "lucky" and it cannot happen twice in one season

No respect for Miles No respect for the talented LSU Team

Our kids and fans love their coach- did you see Nicky singing Rudolph with his team?

I think you are all incorrect. It has nothing to do with disliking LSU or Miles or thinking Bama and Saban are better.

A Bama win will create controversy over a system most of these talking heads dislike. They get to talk ad nauseum about a broken system and the legitimacy of Bama's championship. It is about influencing change that benefits people like ESPN.

When LSU wins, most everyone will say the best team won and the system worked like it was supposed to for the most part. End of story.

Then the USC hype starts.

This is a theme that's been present since I've been a Tiger fan (42). We've never been (until now, arguably on the cusp) a top-tier program, and that's given our fan base pride issues. In the past we've grown coaches for other programs - or fired them. Only Mac wanted to stay, again - until now. In the past we've choked in big games ('79 USC - facemask or not, Stovall's Orange Bowl, versus Alabama ALOT), never really making it over the hump.

Then we do win the big game, and the 2003 team got no respect. Neither did our coach while he was here. But he became a diety two jobs later, two states over. Fast forward to 2007, and our two-loss Tigers have become very forgettable champs.

Because of this a large part of our fanbase has a bit of a sandy vag, and are overly sensitive to slights from the media - intentional or not. Many Tiger fans will watch or read something that shows an opponent (Bama, or Saban) in a positive light and instantly jump to a that's-anti-LSU conclusion. God forbid a sportscaster or analyst pick against LSU. Look out.

And there is an underlying Bama daddy angle that I posted about last night .

The good thing is our Tigers can put virtually all of this behind them with a big win in the Dome, and I think they have the team and the coach to pull it off.

LSU's QB situation is a huge liability. We all know that. If neither team can run the ball, then you have to give the edge to Bama in the passing department. McCarron is more likely than JJ to complete enough passes to make an impact.
