I think we all pretty much agree that if LSU has another season like this one next year, Les would likely be gone...likely.

That said, if the Philadelphia Eagles have another year like had this year, then it's likely that Chip would be gone...likely.

How would you people like a Kelly/Pendergast/BeBe led team?

Not a chance. 8-5 will not get him fired. 5-7 will not get him fired. He's got 2 years to go for sure.

I don't think so.

I think if LSU has another year just like this one, then there will be far too much pressure from the fans for the BOD to not do something. Especially if someone like Kelly was an option...

Les Miles is certainly backed into a corner now. Let's see what he can do without being in his comfort zone anymore. It's do or die it seems.

I think Miles has a minimum 3 years unless he goes 2-9 next year he's here...

Losing to Bama doesn't even matter anymore. They are so far out of our league now that we cannot even see them. We'll play them in Tuscaloosa next year, and unless something drastic changes, we'll get smoked.

Well, there's already trouble there. Let's face it, it's not like he's playing "traditional" NFL-style football, so he will have a short leash. If his 'style' fails again next year, there is no way that the Eagles will stay with it, as the need to win and team vision in the NFL is FAR greater than in college. Hell, you need not look any further than the 49ers to see that...

I honestly thought the same thing two days ago (that Miles would be here a minimum of 3 years); however, with the whole Chavis issue, I don't think it's outside the realm of possibilities that Miles is on a short leash...it's plainly obvious to everyone, including the powers to be at LSU, that Our football program hasn't been the same since 1/9/12.

I have always firmly believed that loss was a "back breaker" for Miles - he lost his edge and hasn't been the same coach since...

I think another 8-5 season will have Miles on the hot seat, but it won't get him fired after 2015. I think the grumbling would definitely start, though, and he would be under increased pressure for 2016.

Even if someone like Kelly was available? Do you think LSU would risk losing out on someone like him, just to keep Miles around for another year?

I love you Rummy, but this sounds like some kind of rantard's wet dream. Never gonna happen.

It's not just if we lost 5 games again. But how we lost if we did.

Did the passing game improve?

Did the D take a step back with a new DC?

What is true is there should be no more excuses.

Not youth, not early NFL entries, not new DC, Les should be judged on the team he puts on the field and how the staff prepares them.

Maybe Chip could actually use Jennings or Harris effectively.

Another season like this I don't see Miles sticking around. This season is excused by the youth, next season you lose that excuse. There is no reason with LF7 a defense returning a lot of players, and a second year of a young QB.

8 wins he should be gone
9 years he has one year to get things together
10 wins he should be ok
11 wins not going anywere
12 wins he may get an extension
13 wins could be highest paid coach in the country
14 wins highest paid coach in the country.
