He also said Odell was overrated and wouldn't amount to anything in the NFL

My point was deichmann's 60. But sure we can laugh at Lester too after Deichmann couldn't steal a base for his life.

You want to compare the most athletic OF we've ever had. Then foster + bregman to KRob + Freeman. Hale vs Adams. Zardon vs a freshman with NO playing time (so I guess we have nothing to gauge them on?) and Romero vs Sciv. Give me 2015.

I respect your take on this and we can agree to disagree on certain matchups. This should be no surprise both Smith and Slaughter will see a great amount of playing time and I think they'll get the green light at times say Hale or Zardon wouldn't.

If Nolan Cain is coaching 3rd all bets are off

He will be. That was mentioned in the official press release when Cain and Gibbs were promoted:

quote:

Cain, 30, worked as the Tigers’ third-base coach in 2016 – a role in which he will continue to serve – while also coaching the LSU catchers. He served for two seasons as the Tigers’ coordinator of operations, and he has handled a number of responsibilities within the program, including team travel, budgeting, and alumni and community relations.

Like every year, CPM will not find a 3 starter or even try. Will finish up solid again with a super regional only to shite the bed when we can't find a third starter and hitting goes cold as well. I would have fired CPM after 2014 but he isn't going anywhere. Now all three sports will suck arse. Time for a hobby.

So when should we expect the preview to start? Honestly outside of football I look forward to that the most. Solid job.

His preview usually comes out first week of February.

To answer Ell's question:

I think it's Omaha or bust for this team, even at that point I would be disappointed if we don't make noise in Omaha.

The pitching staff is very strong, but for pete's sake we need to find a damn 3rd starter to rely on. The bullpen is going to be very strong as well. Newman returning is a huge ace in the pen.

The hitting should be better than last year, but the loss of Cannizzaro bothers me a lot. I think it's going to hurt us and I didn't agree with the internal hires of Gibbs and Cain. I feel like if we made any type of effort to pull a good hitting coach, we could have, but PM settled. Sound familiar?

19-21 Conference wins
Natty Seed
Omaha

Simple as that.....

It'll be out Feb 1st. Going to be a busy morning with that and signing day.

After the football HC announcement I lamented the sad state of affairs we're in when Mainieri is actually my favorite HC on campus.

He wasn't the fastest, I think the 3rd fastest. He fits into the 92 percentile.

Faster then Bergman, Kramer & Laird just not a great base runner

I hate that more effort did not go into the hiring of those assistants. LSU is killing itself with this mindset.

I'll be the first to say I sincerely hope I'm wrong on this, however, same as always, great expectations and sunshine pumping early in the season then mainieri has everyone so tight entering SEC play, poorer performance / results lead to mainieri throwing anyone and everyone under the bus, which leads to a "frick this" attitude amongst the players who can't wait for the season to end so they can play in the summer leagues and excell, just sayin...

Excited to see Reid play, one of my favorite players last year
Extremely nervous about Adams at 1st

We will drop a few mid week games early on, maybe 2 SEC series
Going to Omaha

Are there any updates on Cartwright?
